Hi everyone,

i am one of the last TSC filers who are still not done. I filed in May 2007, was transferred to VSC in February and since then nothing much has happened. I put in a service request which came back simply confirming my address change from 2 months ago. The request had a csc number but I never received notice of having been transferred there. When I spoke to an officer on the phone line they said I was at the local office and that could mean an interview. How long does it take until I hear from them now? It has been 15 months almost and I am so tired of this waiting. Another TSC filer posted that upon getting an extension stamp they were at the local office, too but that they probably would not get an interview.

Anybody know if local office means a aguaranteed interview and how long it can take to hear anything now???

any help is greatly appreciated

Have you done an INFOPASS lately? I will suggest that do one now and figure it out if it's true it was sent to your local office and see if they can tell you that indeed you are schedule for an interview.

I know...it's gets tiring at this stage but there are not really many options available.

true true. i guess the officer on the phone wouldnt have made it up. i just wonder if anyone has ever had their case transferred and if so how long it did take to get notice. also the comment of "local office yes, interview maybe not" confused me. i thought it was only sent if an interview was likely

but i have already waited far over a year. i just want to get it over and know why i am at the local office now!!!

I did the “info pass” at USCIS/ Houston office for requesting about the process time for my I-751 with application date end May 2007. I was told that the Houston office is “now” working on May files and that I can expect a decision during August. At that point I asked “since my application has been transferred to the local office ,,,will that mean interview”. The respond was, if you are still married to the same person an interview will most likely not happened.

Then she asked to see my passport, and she gave me a new I-551 stamp (which I not needed because I got one two weeks ago) and the SRC# under my new stamp was changed.

Where is your local USCIS office?
