No "touch" after the biometrics appointment for EAD & AOS

It appears to me that everyone's case is touched within a day or two after their biometrics appointment. My case was last touched on 7/2 and hasn't been updated since then even though we had the biometrics done on 7/15 for EAD & AOS. Though it has only been fifteen days, we are desperate for EAD and are a little worried that the biometrics may have been lost or not passed back to NBC by ASC. Has this happened to anyone? More importantly, did anyone get their EAD/Greencard even though there were no touches past the biometrics? Am I worried for nothing?

Thank you for your time and help!

Natasha had her biometrics about 2 weeks ago, and some of the NOA-1 numbers still show as 'invalid' on the USCIS website. No touches for the ones that work, either.

I didn't get a touch for 2+ months. Absolutely nothing after the biometrics. I was thinking the same thing you did, that mine got lost somewhere.

But I got my EAD magically after not hearing a thing on my case 2 days ago.

I think you should call to find out. I did my biometrics at the end of June and it was touched straight away but I am told I probably wont have it all done until mid September.

Call because due to lack of a touch? Sorry - touches mean nothing. Some of my applications were never touched and everything was just fine. Do not place any emphasis on touches.

Thank you Heliosphan! This is exactly what I was looking for - a case approved without touches. Now I know that I am not the only one, that approvals come without touches, and I need not worry. Thanks again!

Thank you LaL and everyone for you feedback! I did not use to think much of touches either, but recently seeing touches on everyone else’s case (at least the ones I looked at) had me worried. I am convinced now there is no need to worry, and am going to stop checking touches on my case to avoid unnecessary stress.

Kstar – it would be nice if I could call and get an answer, but unfortunately they would not tell me or even look at anything till 90 days has passed. And I might piss off people if I make an infopass and ask them why my case was not touched or whether they passed my biometrics to NBC.

Thanks you everyone, take care...

Same case with Heliosphan... I got NO touches on my case since biometrics, but then I got my EAD card just two days ago and my AP was approved last week. Don't worry too much about touches... You'll probably get your EAD card in less than two months from biometrics.

I am convinced that 'touch' has nothing to do with the speed of the case. There was no touch on my EAD since the NOA. Not even after the Biometrics. I received the approval yesterday. If I didn't have an RFE, probably I would have received it before.

I totally agree. I had started this post because I too was very worried for the exact same reason. I got my EAD last saturday, and case online still shows the last touch on 2nd July and case status as "pending." So it appears that the case online, email notification, and touches are inoperational or inaccurate at least in some cases. Who knows your case may have been transferred and greendcard on the way! You might want to do what I did - stop checking status online, assume everything is fine, and just wait for the mail.
