my husband and I are so happy to see the mail we got from USCIS earlier containing a letter for my biometrics appointment :) we can't believe that we'll get it this early because we just filed our AOS application last July 16 :dancing: and receiving a letter from USCIS as fast as this is so unusual for couples like us who waited so long to be together. it's unbelievably fast :whistle:

AOS:

07/16/08 - filed AOS application

07/18/08 - received by USCIS

07/22/08 - USCIS mailed our NOA

07/24/08 - touched

07/25/08 - received NOA (AOS, EAD, AP)

07/29/08 - received ASC Appointment Notice (Biometrics)

08/09/08 - biometrics appointment

08/11/08 - I485 and I765 touched

09/17/08 - AP approved

09/19/08 - EAD approved, card already in production

09/24/08 - EAD card received

09/25/08 - SSN application

10/01/08 - received letter re: SSN card delivery in 2 weeks

10/06/08 - SSN Card received

02/17/09 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

11/19/10 - Submit requirements for Lifting of Conditions

11/22/10 - NOA1 received

12/22/10 - Biometrics Appointment

If you want to get it sooner it can be done, you will have to take a chance though. I have it done at USCIS Van Nuys, CA on my scheduled date, two weeks after I received the notice. The filipino employee told me in tagalog that once you get the appointment notice you dont have to wait for the schedule. I posted it in AOS forum and another filipina had asked me about it and I suggested that she take a chance because it would just be a few miles from her address. She called yesterday at USCIS Sta Ana, CA and they told her its not possible then she took a chance to go there today and it was done. She said they have not even look at her scheduled date. They are open Tuesday-Saturday 8am-4pm. They are not open on Monday.

05/18/07 married

05/29/07 sent I-130s for me & my daughter at CSC

06/16/07 checks for I-130 cashed

06/19/07 sent I-129F not waiting for noa1 but with printed online copies of checks cashed

06/25/07 check for I-129f cashed

06/29/07 transferred I-129f to CSC

07/03/07 received noa1 in the mail for I-129f

10/31/07 approved K3 and my I-130 except for my daughter

11/05/07 received NOA2 in the mail

12/01/07 received mail from NVC/yey we got our case number

12/20/07 went to St. Lukes and had my early medical exam

01/30/08 schedule for medical

02/07/08 interview, approved!
