I finally got through after about a week of calling to the the NVC to try to find out what is the correct I-864 fee that I am supposed to pay for my wife and her daughter. I received to envelopes with two different case numbers. So I imagine I have to pay $70.00X2. But when I asked the person at NVC about this, they said they couldn't give me any information because there is no record of my wife's birth certificate nor one for her daughter.

How can this be processed from USCIS and be forwarded to NVC without the birth certificates? And the guy was really snotty about it also. Not very helpful at all.

So now they want me to send a letter with copies of both birth certificates asking for it to be corrected in there database.

What gives with these people? I mean if I was to send the money in, would have I gotten a RFE notice?

thanks,

martinbr

So you need to send a true certified copy from the registrars or can I just send them a copy. I believe I only have one more true certified copy and it would be a major hassle to get another one from my wife. We had some major problems with the daughters birth certificate before I sent in the originals to the USCIS.

thanks,
