Hiya, I think I have made myself more confused then I need to. I am confused about Part 3 #8. The instructions read:

8. Indicate whether you are sponsoring the principalimmigrant listed in item 2 in this Form I-864. This onlyapplies to cases with two joint sponsors. Check "No" only ifyou are sponsoring only intended immigrants listed in 9 (athrough e) and not the principal immigrant listed in item 2.

So I am using a joint sponsor so would I select Yes and then no No (Applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors)? I am a little confused on this and getting more confused every time I read it! Lol

Thanks guys!

Your father needs to fill out I-864A (since you and him live together at one residence).. But you need to send evidence showing that the residence is same and he is your father.. For residence e.g. post mail showing same address for him and you (utility bills) and relationship proof e.g. your birth certificate..

And for that question 8.. You check "yes" (according to me) but double check before sending out the final copy...

Good Luck...

Umm ok that opens up another question now. My birth cirtificate is lost and ####### it will take some time to get a copy, what other proff could I submit that he is my father? ####### this is going to delay things.

So can anyone else chime in on question 8 please?

Thanks you so much bani!

Besides birth certificate as a proof of relationship i don't find any.. See birth certificate is very hard copy proof... it is accepted everywhere and builds strong evidence... Good Luck...
