Yeah, Seattle get earthquakes too. I probably need to get some emergency supplies in the house. Man, I miss the south....I'd rather a hurricane any day, at least you get a little warning.

Glad everyone is safe!

I experienced my first earthquake here in IL. 4/18/08, three month ago. My grandson was born on that day and I had just returned from Senegal.

Scared the ####### out of me. I called my friend and ran out the door thinking I was losing my mind ( jet lag and it was during the night ).

We don't have them here so it really messed with my head and it took forever until the news came on saying it was an earthquake, 5.4.

My stuff fell off the table.

I remember that!!! I reacted to your quake like you reacted to my tornado!!! "Eh no biggie"

WELCOME to CALI!!! LOL

I grew up in Cali, I know all about the quakes.... I remeber them all to well.

 Cali and those quakes are no joke. The last time I was in So Cal for about a year and there were at least 5 earthquakes within that time frame. It would be so strange to feel the whole house moving while you're cooking your eggs. The funny thing is that it takes a few seconds for the  in your brain to kick in and realize it's an earthquake. By that time it's already over.

Thank goodness it wasn't strong enough to do damage. Your husband is now officially an Cali man.

This is so true, I would say if I had to pick a natural disaster, I would pick a quake, there is no fear of impending doom, you never know that they are coming, and they are over fast. Of course all natural disasters have thier drawbacks ;)
