Hi all,

I came to the US on a K1 visa and received a temporary EAD stamp on my I-94 upon entering at JFK. I am now filling out the I-765 to apply for a permanent EAD and I am unsure which box I should check on the application. Am I applying for a new EAD (permission to accept employment) or am I renewing an EAD (renewal of permission to accept employment)? Since the EAD stamp that I received at JFK was just a temporary stamp am I now applying for a new EAD as if I did not have one?

What did you guys do? Thanks in advance!

Cheers :)

Filed: Citizen (apr) Country: China
Timeline

When filing I-765 with I-485, you are applying for a NEW EAD based on pending I-485 (C )(9 )

Temp 90 day is NOT renewable.
