Have you checked with the bank to see if the check was cashed? Also, did you send requsting for a return receipt? If not, I would call to see if they received it. They usually don't take that long for NOA1 to be sent.

The NOA 1 can take up to 2-3 weeks, I disagree with the other poster, our took 18 days with CSC. Did you send it by signed for mail, has the cheque been cashed?

It is too early to be stressing just yet and you won't get anywhere trying to call them, give it another week:thumbs:

Btw please lose the CAPS!

If you send certified with return receipt you get back a post card with the receipt date and signature.

Also, tracking is available so you can go online and track the shipment and get the confirmed delivery.

If anything's important and it has to go USPS, then certified w/return receipt is the way to go.

You can also spend extra for registered and that's done in a secured manner to each person who handles it has to sign for handling the document, package.

If you don't have to use USPS, say it's going to a physical address not a PO Box then industry standard for a number of years has been FedEx which gets the most attention as important, not UPS -- sorry UPS, that's reality.

I'm glad I scrolled through the pages....I was about to post on the same topic. I mailed my application on the exact same day you did (May 4th) to the Laguna Niguel office via certified USPS. They received it on the 9th. The check has not cleared my bank and I haven't received anything in the mail....yet. I was getting a bit anxious...so although I'm disappointed its taking so long (since I've read lots of other timelines where it's less than a week), I feel better that I'm not alone.

Hopefully, both of ours will show up tomorrow!

Oh...I just noticed you received yours on the 15th? I'm a bit confused.

Well, I'm still hopeful mine will be soon.

Since I'm a newbie at this...I'm hoping some others with more experience and knowledge can help...or some of the recent filers like myself have maybe had a response from their Service Centers.

Is anything happening to those of us that filed after the IMBRA date? Everyday I hope for something in the mail or that they cashed my check....but nothing so far. I'm discovering I'm not very patient.....which I once thought was one of my virtues. :innocent:

Thanks for any information!

Well, I'll respond to my own posting...in case anyone is reading this.

I just checked online and my check cleared my bank today. Wooo hoo...so at least they're doing something. Now I wonder how long before I get the notification.

Apparently those that are filing now will get their NOA1 and then will go right into the line on waiting any new procedures before getting approved. So only advantage of filing now is getting into that line before others. But be prepared to wait a few months.

LOL! I was going to ask the same question also. I sent mine in about 2 weeks ago.

I'd say that yes, you are in too much of a rush... you should allow three to four weeks to hear anything - your application went into a big pile will all the others received that day and they'll open the envelope up when they get to it.
