just a quick question for those who know:

how long does it typically take for the NVC automated email response for an emailed DS-3032?

my wife just emailed her DS-3032 today: no automated response yet!

if there's no response in a few of days I'll send the snail mail one too

Are you K-3 or CR-1?? K-3 typically dose not do the DS-3032.

If you are following CR-1 then you may want to update profile and timeline:

:time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=39763 (Shows citizenship, typically this is for the same person (K-3 or CR-1 visa beneficiary, is timeline start to finish.)

both my I-130 and k-3 went through to NVC, so I'm trying to get the I-130 processed fast via James's shortcuts before the k3 interview comes around (not yet scheduled)

just paid the AOS today

Good idea, hopefuly CR-1 (I-130) makes it to consulate before K-3 interview, this will result in CR-1 interview, some even re-schedule K-3 interview so that CR-1 catches up to the K-3.

CR-1 is superior it results in green-card upon entry. Costs much less than AOS from K-3.

The autoresponse should occur about 1-2 minutes after the email is submitted. You might want her to forward it to you then you forward it to NVC. That is what I did and it worked when I forwarded it. After 2 emails my husband sent did not work because he did not receive the autoresponse, I did it and received it less than a minute later. Good luck.

been emailing them using my husband's email though.. i just don't get it.. if this doesn't work then i'm going to have to wait for the hard copy and have him sign it and send it.. and that is going to just delay everything..

i could generate my own barcode and pretend to be him and sign it.. but i don't want to go to jail :diablo:

I guess the NVC email system just discards some email as SPAM

I sent an email from my wife's yahoo account: result: no response (still after two days)

I forwarded the same email from my work (.gov) account: immediate response

my wife is mailing a hard copy directly

I will mail a hard copy she sent to me earlier just in case she made a mistake, then they can keep the one they like

And maybe that has something to do with if you receive the auto response or not. Which e-mail you use. Maybe some e-mail accounts go into their spam folder.

To help people maybe we should all list our e-mail account and say if we receive the auto response or not.

I will start a new thread.
