They said it might need 8-12 weeks for them to handle my case. That's 2-3 months. I guess if my case were sent back to NVC, in 2-3 months it should definitely have been sent to guangzhou already. So I will think about it. I am a bit hesitating......

I don't want to scare you, but I have heard horror stories of paperwork getting to China. I hear it can take a very long time.

But if the embassy in Sweeden already has your paperwork, it should not take 8-12 weeks.

I got a letter from the embassy in Stockholm. They know I am just a student but not permanent resident in Sweden. But I think they probably want to help me handle this case, if I can show them that I will be legal for longer time in Sweden.

I have another question. I lived in China till 2002, then moved to Sweden. I went back China last year to visit my parents, and applied for a police certificate, which was issued in Sep 2007. It was still valid when my case completed in NVC. But I heard the police certificate will be valid for one year. So if Stockholm needs longer time to handle my case, the police certificate from China will soon expire. Do I need a new one for the interview?

I heard of this......Actually that's also one of the reasons why I want to be interviewed in Stockholm. Now there is hope, I will do my best.
