maybe someone could give him a ride home? 5 miles in the dark is a long long walk... I hope the road isn't too dangerous. I'm scared for him already.

Well, he refuses to ask for a ride :) That's the fun part!

I hope he makes it home safe. It is too bad you can't get an extra long break just to pick him up and drive him home :(

That would be nice, but I don't get a break at all! I'm one of the jobs that doesn't require them to give you a break.

Sorry Julianna about the car. I haz a sad coz I lost my keys and can't find them any where. I had my gym membership card on it and they want $20 to replace it. The membership is only good till August 19th after that it's cancelled coz I go back to school. :crying: I wish I could find them coz there is more on there than just that and it's a waste of gym membership money but I don't know where they could be. :( I've looked everywhere.

Olivia, I am so sorry about your keys. I hope you find them. I know I keep important things on mine I wouldn't want to lose (okay, their store discount cards but that saves me money). Just remember it is always in the last place you look! Let us know if you find them.

Julianna, that sucks they don't give you a break. I really feel for you and the fact your husband has to walk. Hopefully your car will get fixed soon.

Well, I just feel bad for him. I work about 15 miles one way.. maybe closer to 10.. but anyway further than him and on an interstate-- so i'm the one who gets the car out of practicality. I have a friend who said she can fix several things on the car, and so when i go down there this morning with, like, 6 2-liters of water and see if I can get it to leak, then I'll call her and she can come and look at it and we can fix the thing hopefully. But... if it's a hose that means likely all my hoses are about to go. There is actually a good thing in this-- if I hadn't have decided to go, then I wouldn't have known this until I went to work at 11pm on the interstate. I would not have been able to see the smoke coming out of the passenger-side hood in the dark... I would have been about 20 miles from his work, and I would have been unable to call him-- because the girl I called at his work's number was at home, and I had had to call ehr mother to get it, and she goes to bed at like 8pm. His work doesn't answer phones after 4pm, so I would have been waiting there for a while... long enough for someone to fill in for me at work and then the girl who I replace to come get me (she's the one who's going to look at my car)... much bigger mess. Interstate at night isn't a great palce to be hanging out on the side of the road.

where is the wed thread? :ranting:

You gonna fix my car for me, Charles? If so, I'll do a wed thread.
