Good morning  today my son turns 20 and it's true what they say ~ they grow up so fast ! Those of you with little ones cherish this time because it slips away so quickly. We are just having a quiet day today, and not much in the mood for celebrating.

Henna Rose {{HUGS}} and happy bday to your son. My prayers are with you and your family.

NOura, could u email me that fries/olives/whatever the he!! else was in that meal recipe please. I can't find it and I'm so sick of having mansaf "type" meals that I wanna puke. I bought some shish kabobs yesterday and some cubed beef to fry up with veggies but I HAVE to find something new before I go crazy. The other problem is that hubby doesn't like meals prepared in a way that he is not "used" to. For instance, he wouldn't let me dip chicken boooobies in bread crumbs and bake it coz he said "it won't work this way" (even though I knew it would work AND be very tasty) he said "there is no reason to try to create something new if u already know what you like".. I'm so tired of the same ole same ole...uggggggg. I'm not gryping about him...just want something new to eat is all...

What about a roasted chicken? Stuff it with a cutup lemon, Season it with your choice of spices all over the outside and inside? Serve with your favorite side dishes or salad and some tasty bread?

They also have some great rubs now days. Cilantro and onion inside with the lemon go good too.

Hey MENA!!!!!!

It has been a looooooooooooong time! I missed you guys!! I hope all is going well with everything. My hubby and I were laughing about our crazy visa journey the other day and since then, I've been wanting to drop by and say hello. Alhamdulillah, things are going well with us. I'll be done with school at the end of August (inshaaaa allah) and I'm currently job-searching...work has been good with him, alhamdulillah. Applying for a zillion jobs on monster.com definitely paid off. Thank God!!!

Well, I wish you all the best...

take care... (L)

oh! are there any slumber parties coming up?? :) how have the visas been coming along? super fast, i hope! (F)(F)

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

::It’s you...It’s you...Baby it’s you::

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!!!!!!!!!!

I am sure you know life has been busy and different since marriage...lol

I am praying for those who have suffered lose and pain and I hope the rest of you are doing well. I miss you guys. (L)

Thanks for checking in Sandy. Hope all is well with you.

Well on top of having the love of my life getting to come and us being able to marry, 8 days after our marriage I was laid off. I was with this company for 22 years 7 months! So not only am I dealing with getting used to a husband, both of us being married for the first time, and the cultural differences. On top of that I have to find a new job! I have never had to have a resume so this is all gonna be fun. To be honest I am totally terrified.

Some of the days are joyous with Jack and some days are not. It is very hard for him not being able to work but he is taking ESL classes so that helps. But he is just itching to start work. So much is diffent for both of us but it is all worth it. I still look at him and can not believe he is here and we are finally married. It just makes me smile. But it is definately not an easy thing to do.
