I have been anxious and excited for the last two weeks leading up to my fiance's interview. I couldn't sleep much tonight, waiting for a phone call from my fiance and hoping to hear the good news. Instead, he told me we have been placed in AP. The CO informed him that he should check this website in 15 days: http://turkey.usembassy.gov/immigrant_security.html and when our case number appears, to send his passport, along with OF-194 (refusal sheet) to the embassy. The CO did not give any explanation as to why we are in administrative processing, only told my fiance not to worry. Right. I am incredibly upset right now. I knew this was a possibility, but now it is our reality. I feel shocked and numb and confused. I have no idea how long this is going to take or what this really means. I have been telling friends and family that Onur will probably be here in a few weeks, but now it looks like months, if we're lucky.

Any further information or guidance is appreciated.

I'm sorry I can't offer any help to you other than a huge HUG! I'm sorry that you are in in AP. I'm sure it's due to name checks being completed. You might want to look at other posters who's loved ones came from Turkey to see if they fell into the AP mess, and how long it took them to get out of it. I hope your wait is short! (F)

Thank you, Carla. I need to stay positive or this wait will be unbearable. I am going to try to plan a trip to Turkey in a couple of weeks to visit Onur as we haven't seen each other in almost 4 months and we certainly need it now. Our love is so strong, I just wish we didn't have to face so many obstacles, but I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Wow Julia....so you did end up going through AP ( i read your other posts and only thought this was a possibility and not reality :o )....unbelievable after all this damned waiting....wow I am so sorry. :( I don't know how long this takes at all. I am going to warn Hamit about this now..Thanks for letting us all know-as it may help others to expect the worst and hope for the best. I had no idea myself that this could happen for non-Iranian applicants in Turkey as well. Crazy Julia...just crazy. Oh, well we should all know nothing so good is going to come easy, right? :( This sucks Julia-I'm so sorry. :(
