CFO Seminar

I called St. Mary's (Cebu) for my CFO seminar and the lady who answered me said that the seminar is done whole day and not half. This surprised me because as far as CFO posts here are concern, mostly said it will only take 2 hours. I asked the lady why the whole day, she told me that a one-on-one counseling is done in the afternoon. Any idea about this?

Hi Riza! Yeah I had it for 2hrs only, maximum is halfday because the CFO briefing is being done in other office then issuance of the certificate and sticker would be released in the PIDOS office.

When I had my seminar there in Cebu it really took whole day. The film showing starts at around 10 am and you have to come back at 1 pm for one on one counseling/ interview for 30-40 min but since there are only 3 sisters who do that. Good if you will come early so you be interview first as well.

Hi Riz,

I had my CFO Seminar last July 25th there in Cebu. It was a 2-hour seminar (10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon) at St. Mary's. You will be asked to return at 1:00 P.M. for the one-on-one counseling. After that, they will release your CFO Certificate.

They will instruct you then to proceed to CFO-DFA for the CFO sticker. I got my sticker past 4 P.M. already. So, it's almost like a whole day affair.

Oh wow, thank you very much for clarifying my concern. So it's really true that it's whole day in Cebu Anyway, I would really like to have the one-on-one counseling I'll be going tomorrow for my seminar.

Btw, I was instructed to go there before 7:30 for registration. How about you guys, what time did you go?

I was lost so I arrived late there .LoL. But they will still let u join even u arrive at 9 am. There are paper works to finis that is why they will say 7:30am. The film showing started at 10am . God bless you Sangay and enjoy your time with family there.

Hi Riza, Getting confused. From everything I have read CFO in Cebu is a day to a day and half. That is why I had Sonia do in Manila. It was shorter and her sister was did at the same time. If Ryan was married before you will need a copy of of the Divoree papers and be really for more question. They will tell you now bad us American are. Yes some are bad just like some filipinos are bad. Just know in your heart that Ryan loves and cares for you and wants only the best for you. God luck and God bless.

I would like to add to bring copy of his BS or passport and picture of you together with his whole face on the camera because they will keep it . The woman who interviewed me was so annoyed that i dont have any copy of BC / Passport of my fiance and lecture me on How sure am I of who he was. I told her that my faince will come to attend my interview and I am so sure about who he is. They did not release my certificate on that day I have to come back after interview with my visa and my fiance's BC.

I had my CFO seminar yesterday and everything went so smooth. What they showed and said were not discouraging at all, as most people said. Those were just reprimands. I only brought with me visa, passport, BC (photo copies with the original) and pics. I was frustrated with the counseling though because I thought it would be a thorough one. To my dismay the counselor was only asking things like what the USEM consul asked. But all in all, it was a great experience specially that I had great time with other girls who took the seminar

When i had my seminar in ST.MARY EUPHRASIA in Cebu City and have my one on one counselling i was really surprise and not prepared to what this councilor would gonna ask me about personal matter...she even ask me the same questions in a different way...she was trying to see if i am consistent to my answer or not...they mostly ask about your man,how you truly feel towards your man and about your relationship....

What i learned about in that 1 day seminar is that we really need to know the man we really want to live with forever...if we are so sure of what we decide...They were just concerned to all the filipinas who will marry a foreign nationals and they tell you what would be like living in another country....
