An excellent post, Joe. It seems that a lot of people would rather have "liberals this, conservative that" $#it-slinging matches than engage in any kind of critical thinking or informed exchange of views and philosophies. And I am finding all the recent (mostly since his death) Reagan butt-licking a bit curious but totally predictable. I dare say King George II won't get the same kind of eulogizing in 20 or 30 years, though.

He may get a certain amount from those who postulate they are unemotional but are driven by the very thing they so openly despise. I have heard of turning reality on it's head but the lengths some people accomplish are truly astounding.

There's still a hardcore of people (including the OP I believe) who still maintain that GWB is the best thing since sliced bread. Then again you always do get those few people who cling doggedly to the masts of a ship during a shipwreck, while everyone else has wisely scarpered in the lifeboats (if of course, they were ever on the ship in the first place).
