Hey guys,

So I had my biometrics appt last week (everything was easy) and got a letter today in the mail. I got all excited at first, but noticed the paper was *yellow*. I wasn't sure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. It wasn't good - that's for sure!!

It stated that I'm missing info for the stupid Affidavit of Support. They need more info on the household member (my father in law) - but we thought we gave in what was asked. UGH!

Just very annoyed with this setback. I need to provide like, 6 items that all sound redundant. Has this happened to anyone else?

It happens to lots! Make sure you send them back what they're requesting right away so that your case will get moving right away!

It happens frequently. We got an RFE for my husband's birth cert to be translated into English. The funny thing is - all official documents in Ireland are in Irish and English. We had to put about 30 post-it flags on the birth cert to show the English and a letter of explanation.

That did the trick.

A lot of times if you don't point it out for them they don't take the time to really look and will RFE the file.

Good luck!

Thanks for the tip!

And thanks for the support guys - it's just so frustrating when you go through all of that trouble of doing all that dang paperwork and to get this in the mail. I didn't WANT to do the supplemental support thing using my father in law, but we just thought it would make it easier since my husband makes minimal money due to the fact that his money stays in running his company. And who knows how long the CPA will take to get what we need.

Ugh!
