A joint lease or tenancy? Joint filed IRS tax returns?

Not having bank info will not d=be a deal breaker at the interview, if you don't have the support evidence, be honest explain your situation to the USCIS interviewing officer.

Yes we have a joint lease, utility bills,life insurance listing me n our daughter as the beneficaries, health insurance, property insurance etc....no joint tax returns because at the time I didnt have a SSN so we couldn't file together!!

Good luck at your interview. It does look like you have some very good evidence even if you didn't have the joint checking account proof in time. Certainly explain during the interview that you were only able to get a SSN in June and until you had one the bank wouldn't let you join the account. You have moved pretty quickly to get what you need and I don't see how you could have moved any faster given your restrictions. You'll be fine - at the very worst they may give you an RFE for a joint statement but I don't think that is likely under the circumstances.

Hey, not sure if anyone suggested this already, but you could also bring your child's birth certificate, that way they can see both your and your husband's name on it. What better proof than that!

I hope what I have is enough, I will explain to the IO why I don't have any statements and hope it won't be an issue. I am quite suprise myself on how fast my case is moving being that I am adjusting from a B2...hopefully If I get approve, I will get the green card by my bday August 14th

Well I guess it's a done deal.....too late now, I haven't recieved that letter, I called the bank earlier today to find out if they sent it they told me they did, n that I will receive it by 5pm today..it's now 9:37pm. called them back a minute ago,they gave me UPS tracking number and I see that the package is set to deliver tomorrow between 3-6 pm, interview is at 7:30 am:crying:

But as you guys said just go with confidence and explain, hopefully they will be satisfy with what I got and not ask for the bank statments..yea right!!!

That really bites. Our bank did a letter for me on the spot regarding my history with them, and the current bank balance for K-1. Then they did it again, to show us both named on the account, the balance etc. for our AOS.

There is no excuse, and physically going to a branch of your bank and demanding such a letter should take them roughly 5 minutes!

Strongly suggest you simply go to a branch and demand to speak to a manager. You are not asking for much.

Ahhh no local branch, that is tough. But then perhaps call the number on the back of your card, talk to a live person. They should be able to give you a simple email reply stating you and your husband have a joint account.

If you go to your account online you might also be able to find some sort of page to update your account information which shows both of your names, print that up if so.

If you've only added yourself to the husbands account in July, while being married much longer, and filing AOS earlier in the year, that letter may have little weight if any with an IO. It may actually look kind of bad, like you were trying to just get something, anything in time for the interview (in terms of proof).

We got marrried Dec. 07 he tried to get me on the account like a week after that but due to the fact that I didnt have a ss# it wasn't possible, (adjusting from B2 visa)I just received my SS# at the end of June....

so I don't know what you are trying to say here!!

Bring proof that you just got your SSN. That should explain why you didn't have a joint account until recently.
