I am sick of waiting - every day gets harder

I just try to keep up the hope and be patient

what sucks if even after this part gets approved and the NVC - Montreal has a 2-3 month wait for an interview!!!

when will this ever end :(

I know I'm not alone in getting frustrated everyday. I just don't understand why CITIZENS have to wait so long? If VSC doesn't approve with in a month, I will move back and file from India (which is much much faster than useless USCIS), it takes maximum 6 months for the whole process from start to end. I wish I have filed from there. But no, I had to file cause of work.

WORK WORK WORK thats all us is baout and not to forget endless waiting in immigration along with stress, tension, and headache.

I wish I could find the thread started by someone who knows someone at VSC, basically it stated that they have a July 31 deadline to finish H-1B applications and then they will get back to spousal visas. I sure hope it's true, 'coz it's the only thing that's keeping me sane right now.....

I am so happy for VJ because if it weren't for this forum I would think I was the only one whose clock stopped on Feb 24.

Exactly - at least we know that there are a number of us all stuck in this black hole - with spouses from a variety of different countries and backgrounds. We also know through VJ that there are many people who filed after us who have been approved which means we know that their FIFO policy is not true and we know that some files just don't get picked up and worked on as quickly as others.

Yes, black hole it is!!!!

no reason to be calm, they are a bunch of idiots up at VSC that deserve to be seperated from their families for a year or two. if they were near my house. I would be knocking on their door everyday !!!!!! this is America and calm doesn't work here !!!!

definitely calm doesn't work here when you are seprated form your spouse over six months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

reehon - it's torturing to say the least and i am sure everyone who is pending from Jan and Feb are feeling the pain. I have a feeling that things are turn around at VSC soon, so hang tight. You will probably be approved soon and I'll be done in a month. :)

How sure are u that VSC will start on Jan/Feb filer???

Calm .. we have same way im also at VSC and i know this center is slow now im 55 day's at this center now and so fustrated also coz i see so much ppl filed befor me so long time really i dont know why all this time at this center really i dont know what i can tell u JUST waittttt u will be ok very soon and u will get ur NOA2 very soon just ask GOD :)

I have asked GOD since day and now, i don't. It doesn't work!!!

I am with you bud. I thought of the same thing to live in India for 3 months then this WORK thing come in play. And I thought if it takes 6 months for DC process I might wait for another 4 more months. A H1B visa holder can get his/her spouse a visa right away and a USC has to wait for a long time. What the **** is wrong with this system.

Anyway send the I-130 today.

God bless all the USCIS employees with 10 hands each and some brain.

thats what i fail to understand...what is the difference between K3 and H4...really not much coz both of them are non-immigrant visas...both of them cannot work in the US...this is one F***** up system..they r just taking us for granted.

And this is not the end of it. One you are thru with NVE then you have to deal with same ****## up system at the consulate. I have had this experience whan they denied K-1 to my wife (then my fiancee). They did not even look at anything and asked stupid questions.

And USCIS did not even had the courtesy to tell me that our case is closed and I found it thru Mr. Obama's office after a congressional inquary.

Looks like USCIS hires dumbs. I want to know their hiring policy.

I have just received a call from Hillary's office and they said that will contact VSC to find out my case status but I told the rep that is not even about my case I'm concerned my major frustration is about the delay in comparison with CSC and she said we know is crazy but we will fight for this. so hopefully this will be good news for all of VSC filers! lets keep the hope :)

It's strange but when i saw the updated processing times, i didn't feel comforted at all. To me, it just kind of felt worse. I have been trying to avoid al this because i needed to take a break before i loose my mind. anway, in a strange way, when they were processing out of order i felt a little bit of hope. I guess i was kind of hoping that mine would be processed suddenly out of the blue. Now i have no hope really. Cause all i can think is my gosh, they are only at Sptember 3rd.

The problem is that USCIS cant be sued!

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Actually, you can sue USCIS under code 1447B. They are supposed to process applications within a certain amount of time. Many people have used this to sue for completion of their citizenship. I was on the verge of doing so when my citizenship was approved after 2 and a half years. I believe it is the Act of Mandamus or the 1447B. Look into it. USCIS has to answer for their actions to someone.
