reehon - it's torturing to say the least and i am sure everyone who is pending from Jan and Feb are feeling the pain. I have a feeling that things are turn around at VSC soon, so hang tight. You will probably be approved soon and I'll be done in a month. :)

A watched VSC will never approve.

Isn't that the old addage?

But it is also said that doing the same thing again and again expecting different results is the definition for insanity. Is it our fault that we're all insane or is it the process' fault? Every day or almost every day I check the online status. Almost every day I check here to see if someone has gotten approved w/o an expedite.

I won't say that I'm despairing, but I will say that I've gotten to the point where I only hold a glimmer of hope that I'll see something other than 2/24. I suppose when I stop checking I will be able to clearly state that I no longer expect a change and am resigned to working toward plan B. (Moving to Canada)

I thought I had reasonable expectations of the process. So I am disappointed in Vermont and in the US government.

Vermont Center is an absolute joke. And USCIS and their policies are up there with them. Corrupted Russian goverment works faster than this. Bunch of bull ####, one person gets approved in a month others get completely forgotten.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I wish I could find the thread started by someone who knows someone at VSC, basically it stated that they have a July 31 deadline to finish H-1B applications and then they will get back to spousal visas. I sure hope it's true, 'coz it's the only thing that's keeping me sane right now.....

I am so happy for VJ because if it weren't for this forum I would think I was the only one whose clock stopped on Feb 24.

Exactly - at least we know that there are a number of us all stuck in this black hole - with spouses from a variety of different countries and backgrounds. We also know through VJ that there are many people who filed after us who have been approved which means we know that their FIFO policy is not true and we know that some files just don't get picked up and worked on as quickly as others.

I know I'm not alone in getting frustrated everyday. I just don't understand why CITIZENS have to wait so long? If VSC doesn't approve with in a month, I will move back and file from India (which is much much faster than useless USCIS), it takes maximum 6 months for the whole process from start to end. I wish I have filed from there. But no, I had to file cause of work.

WORK WORK WORK thats all us is baout and not to forget endless waiting in immigration along with stress, tension, and headache.

reehon, i am sure because Jan and Feb filers are the earliest pending applications...you should look at the bright side, there have sprinkle of approvals from Feb recently and I am confident that they will have to turn things around soon for the US Citizens. Things must be winding down in terms of getting H1Bs and N-400's out of the way. The nat. applications approved now, probably won't be ready to vote for Nov election anymore, given that there is an interview and oath involved, which takes up to 3-4 months.

trust me, i am suffering everyday and trying to be patient. Meanwhile, I keep on spending $$$ for traveling and calling cards. It's even tougher for Anu who quit her job thinking that her approval is probably around the corner!

Biggest regret of my life: NOT filing K-1...who the hell would've known! She'd have been now.

I know, I regret that too. I'm right there with you. But I really really hope that VSc start approving cause i'm going through hell right now. Whats the point of getting married if you still feel single?

What does married mean? It means that staying with each other rather than apart. Stupid USCIS wont understand that!!!

I'm just pissed off and frustrated. Right now, i can tackle anyone. I don't know but i'm running out of patience now>>>>>>>
