Sorry if this is a stupid question, but after reading this thread I'm wondering, does NVC schedule the interview in the foreign country, or does the consulate? And how much advance notice do you typically get , ie for making plane tickets?

What comes next is your interview appointment and your case will be forwarded to the US Embassy or Consulate (YES TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION chamy and gatita) In the foreign country!!! They usually will let you know about your appointment date after 2 weeks your case is complete at NVC
