What documents required from foreign beneficiary at the time of interview?

My friends' girl friend(petitioner) has received NAO2 in USA and my friend (beneficiary) is in India.

We found under K1 flow chart / Guide that Indian (mumbai) embassy will send a letter with checklist and list of required documents to collect and we want to know what are those documents / paperwork?

Mainly we want to know if they ask for beneficiary's income proof like copy of income tax return filed?

and how important is beneficiary's income?

Beneficiary's income - if its less or more can affect issuance of visa?

They only are interested in petitioners income, that he/she can support the beneficiary in the US. Petitioner should send at least 2007 tax returns and w-2s however it has been sugested that 3 years be sent, depends on the embassy. Also a letter from the employer is helpfull and a few latest pay stubs.
