NVC approved our case on 7/21

Today I called to make the appointment at the embassy.

The kind lady says that they have recieved the papers but they have not reveiwed them yet so I could not make a appointment today.

How long from the time they recieve them to the time you can call to make the appointment. The lady on the phone implied about 2 weeks or when my fiancee gets the letter.

My fiancee lives in the provence and the mail is super S L ow if you know what I mean.

Any ideas or personal experiance and or timeline may save us a day or a week.

My fiancee called a week and a half from the time our papers was sent from NVC to USEM and got our schedule. You really don't have to wait for the snail mail, you can sched interview when your papers are already in USEM.

Please refer to this post: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...299&hl=usem You might be experiencing the same problem with the OP.

It is supposedly takes the USEM just one day or two to encode the data of your approved petition. We called for my interview appointment 2 working days after USEM received our papers.

When you said the NVC approved your case on July 21, did you mean it was the day NVC sent your papers to USEM? if it is then your paper must have reached them Friday last week, last day of work and maybe they are still encoding it today.

Try calling again tomorrow or try calling USEM direct line and ask them when you can call for interview schedule: 011 632 301 2000 ext 5184 or 5185

Good luck to you and God bless always.
