Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Comments : My application was touched atleast 12 times before getting to NVC

01/04/09: Went to senators office to speak to them about an inquiry into my case.

01/06.09: Senators office send letter of inquiry to UNCIS CSC.

02/18/09: Called USCIS asked for service request

02/21/09: Recieved letter from USCIS that im in security checks :( and to call beck in 6 nonths..... WOW

02/25/09: APPPRROOVVVVAAALLLL NOA2 Alhumduallah

03/05/09: NVC receives papers

03/06/09: NVC send papers to counsulate

03/12/09: Counsulate have papers

03/27/09: Packet 3

04/02/09: Doctors (everything is a-okay0

04/28/09: Interview

04/28/09: AP ( need nothing further will call when able to proceed

05/04/09: Counsulate call and tell her to come 05/06/09 to counsulate for appointment? Told to bring passport......Is this the day???

05/06/09: Second interview (everything went well) Counsulate keep passport

05/07/09: Call from counsulate to pick up visa tomorrow

05/08/09: VIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAA IN HAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

Not as close as your next big day Lisa. We're still 18 days away from his interview and as you can tell by the time (330a) that I'm already losing sleep over it. Deep breath....

Marriage : 2008-07-03

I-130 Sent : 2008-09-30

I-130 NOA1 : 2008-10-03

Dec 22 2008 Transferred to California Service Center

I-130 Approved : 2009-01-12

NVC Received : 2009-1-16

Officially in AVR : 2009-1-17 emailed scanned DS 3032

DS 3032 generated and accepted via email/ AOS I-864 generated : 2009-1-23

Received I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26

Pay I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Pay IV Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Send Completed I 864 and IV Package (overnight) : 2009-2-4 (had to wait for hubby's PC and original birth certificate to arrive)

Case Completed at NVC : 2009-2-11 !!!!

NVC Left : Received email March 3rd

Medical Completed : March 12, 2009

Interview Date : April 22, 2009. 8 am. VISA APPROVED!!!

Visa in Hand : April 27th, 2008!!! Arrival May 11th! POE JFK

Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 101 days from your NOA1 date. NVC completed in 26 days! Interview was 201 days from Noa 1.

Tick tock tick tock :clock: ....still waiting on NVC to give us a case complete. I was almost screaming at a supervisor there last night to figure out what the hold up is. They say there is nothing missing and everything looks good...it is with a supervisor to review and it should be complete soon...blah blah blah. Everytime I call they give me a different timeframe. But after getting quite frustrated with this guy on the phone he told me it should be done probably by Monday. Friggin' hurry up already!!!! :angry: If you have all the info & the payments have cleared...what is the hold up? Geez I feel like making a road trip to New Hampshire or wherever the heck they are and talking some sense into them! :ranting: I guess I'm just on edge. :girlwerewolf2xn: I'm ready to be done with this & have my man with me!!!

Mariah, 18 days..thats so exciting! Is it in the early morning? It's going to be 1230 my time next Sunday. Needless to say, I took Monday off, since I will not be anywhere close to sleep until he calls. Try not to lose any sleep just yet..you will have a few days before the interview for that :P

Well, There have been 2 interviews in Amman this week(k3) and they both lasted 5 minutes with minimal questions and APPROVED with no AP. :dance:
