Hi Ladies,

Our lawyer emailed today to say she received the NOA1. Any tips on what paperwork would be good to start getting in order at this point? Thanks very much!

Great, you've officially started! :D

you can start gathering your proof of ongoing relationship for the interview. save phone bills, chat logs and emails if applicable.

Also, if you want to take a look at or start to fill out the visa application forms you can view them at:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/forms/forms_1342.html

You'll also probably want to check your status once your file gets to NVC:

Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hi again everyone,

Sorry for questions that may seem simple to you, or you've answered before for other people, but I got home and noticed the NOA1 is from California. (Vermont is geographically my center) Anyway, does this make a difference, for the better? Or worse? Or no difference, based on trends? THanks!

Cali is typically faster than Vermont but tides can turn. I remember a day that being in VSC was a blessing. For now tho...Cali is a good place to be

good luck and I hope it all goes quickly for ya :) ...got any snacks ?

eta: I wish my ticker would say 4 months...not 3 months 4 weeks 1 day. How long can Month 3 be? <_<

Just another Monday on the couch. Still waiting on NVC to give us a case complete. I called this morning and the operator said they have all they need and she is sending our case to a supervisor to complete it. She said the usual "10-15 business days to complete but it could be sooner than that." Enough already!!! My husband did his medical exam Thursday and he went back yesterday to get the results & he passed!!! So that is one step closer. Now if we can just get the darn interview date!

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Amanda

Keep hope amanda, i've just check the nvc website and the iv fee is changed to paid; i'll try to call them now to see if our case is completed or not yet

Good Luck Princess...I hope that you get a case complete very soon.

And I hope you are right Lisa, we get a case complete this week! I'm praying everyday for it. Waiting sucks.

Very interesting, I guess they arent transferring them all there..just getting them there to begin with

sorry, thinking out loud.

YES! its very good that you are in Cali. You probably would have ended up being transferred there after sitting in VSC for a while anyway.

Good Luck, I hope its speedy.

jackie,

change your ticker! ;)
