I'm just dandy thx for askin!

I'm hungry. Whatz for breakfast ?

We had some MD reps come in today...they brought fruit and pastries, want some of those?

I have never seen strawberries so HUGE in my life! heh

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Lisa, have you heard anything from the embassy yet? I finally lit the fire under our attorney's bum and he went ahead and sent in the I-864 last week so we are almost done! Now if he will just go ahead and pay the IV bill like he said he would, we will be on our way out of NVC!!

Im so glad he got his butt in gear for you guys ;)

We're just waiting for the interview letter and date. They should have the file already. I might have to bug them again on wed :D

Im sure they just love seeing my email come accross by now. Maybe I should start asking them how their families are and such

You should Lisa...I know bugging the heck out of our attorney really made him start working so hopefully if you bug the embassy enough they will cave and send you the interview date! I've told someone else on VJ and I believe in this slogan myself "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." So maybe in our case it should be "the annoying wife gets the interview date and/or paperwork completed." :)

 Yeah I think it pays to be "squeaky" when it comes to immigration. My hubby is sick as well and so he is sleeping...so I am sitting up alone watching American Idol and posting on VJ. :) Anyone else watching? Please feel free to take this up as a mini "distraction" topic while we wait on the couch. Are you watching? If so, who do you like? I am a fan of Anoop & Allison. :)

Never been into the Idol shows, not sure why. They have a pool at work on who will win every week, or is it lose?

Hubbers is doing better, went to the dr, got some drugs and is sleeping now too. I think he's having some anxiety that is messing with him. Who knows. Yes, Lisa, it is so hard not being there to take care of him and know he's ok.

If I could put the pics in, I'd send all kinds! What's good comfort food?

Mine is mashed potatoes and pot roast or, God help me, Taco Bell, which was dinner tonight.

Well, I'm spilling the beans. We went to Final review on January 26. After much calling to the embassy and DOS, Ahmed got his visa the day I left for Phoenix. I've been hounding him to buy the dang ticket for almost two weeks! He kept telling me "I'll take care of it Beb, do no worry". Well! He decided he wanted to surprise me. I HATE surprises!! I have to clean!!!!! Lucky for me he is now stuck in NY till morning cause immigration held him too long and he missed his connecting flight. So, I'm gonna be cleaning all dang night! I'm so mad I could spit and so excited I could pee myself. More mad though. He wanted my BF to pick him up at the airport. I've been dreaming about the day I get to pick him up! I'm gonna now! He had to call and tell me what was going on. Thank God!

I will just say, I really had a hard time when people were so excited about getting their visa's and when they got to their loved ones and I do not in any way want to put that on any of you! Even though we're happy for the others when it happens, it still hurts that it's not us. Be strong my friends. It's a test only time can pass. Today is the 1000th day since I saw my husband the last time in Egypt. We stuck it out. I know you guys can and will also. Just hopefully no where near as long!!

I may be MIA for a while, but I'll be praying for you all in the mean time. Now, I must go clean like a mad woman!
