If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

You will need to ignore the correspondence from NVC regarding the CR1, as if it gets to the consulate before the k3 interview is scheduled you WILL be forced to persue it. The consulate cannot interview for a k3 visa if the cr1 is present.

Thats the long answer to say..yes, you can :)

But, they approve them together, unless something drastically changes at the services centers, you wont have to worry about this scenario

Thanks for your answer, and yours too Jackie. I'm just a worry wort I know. We have to follow the K3, so he can interview in Montreal. Otherwise he would be forced to go to Turkey, and with him living in Canada, that would be too much time, trouble and money involved! I hope they do get approved together at least! OK then, I will just ignore the I130 approval then and wait for the 129F if that happens. :-)

Congrats Lisa! I hope you get an interview date soon. When I talked to NVC the other day, they told me the schedule ALL the interviews and would send us each a letter saying when it is (after of course all our paperwork is complete). The embassy said they just send a list of available dates to NVC and they set it up that way. No one would give me a timeframe, but I hope yours is speedy!!

Tomorrow is Friday...yay!
