New news... A guy just got his CR1 interview scheduled for a month out. about 35 days. yaaay! I hope both of our husband get one that quickly. Just wanted to share :)

How is everyone?

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Wow...that's great! Thanks for that update. The embassy said that it just sends available slots to NVC to schedule...but they wouldn't be specific about how far out those slots are. Hopefully our men will get an even sooner date!!

Service Center : California Service Center

Consulate : Morocco

Comments : My application was touched atleast 12 times before getting to NVC

01/04/09: Went to senators office to speak to them about an inquiry into my case.

01/06.09: Senators office send letter of inquiry to UNCIS CSC.

02/18/09: Called USCIS asked for service request

02/21/09: Recieved letter from USCIS that im in security checks :( and to call beck in 6 nonths..... WOW

02/25/09: APPPRROOVVVVAAALLLL NOA2 Alhumduallah

03/05/09: NVC receives papers

03/06/09: NVC send papers to counsulate

03/12/09: Counsulate have papers

03/27/09: Packet 3

04/02/09: Doctors (everything is a-okay0

04/28/09: Interview

04/28/09: AP ( need nothing further will call when able to proceed

05/04/09: Counsulate call and tell her to come 05/06/09 to counsulate for appointment? Told to bring passport......Is this the day???

05/06/09: Second interview (everything went well) Counsulate keep passport

05/07/09: Call from counsulate to pick up visa tomorrow

05/08/09: VIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAA IN HAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

ALLLLLLLLHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMDDDDDDDDDDDDDUUUAAALLLAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!

Ok....ladies (and gents) give me a hand on this one. I am totally confused now. Last week I called NVC & the operator told me they sent out the AOS package to our third party agent and the IV bill will be sent out shortly behind it. I sent an e-mail to our attorney several days later telling him to expect the AOS package...he said he got it & was returning it this past Saturday or Sunday. I called NVC today to ask a question about the interview and this woman told me that they sent the AOS package to my address & the IV bill is going out this week. So now I am so confused...am I supposed to be getting the AOS package? If so, what was it that the attorney got? Ugg...just when I thought I was understanding the process...

Well, I have news, and it's good news, but my paranoid hubby says I can't tell anyone till he's "between my arms". So that's as much as I can say without getting in trouble :D

Two more days till I go home. It's been nice visiting, but I'm ready to head north again.

Got married : 6-3-06

I-130 delivered : 6-12-06 - Appt in Cairo

I-130 Approved : 4-18-08 - USCIS approval!!

Visa Interview Date : 6-22-08

Case sent to WADC: 8-6-08 - FBI check

Email From Embassy 1-09 - Still in AP (7 months)

19 DHL scans - 2-19-09

1-26-09 - Out of AP, now final review

2-26-09 - Visa in hand!

3-11-09 - POE JFK - Got stuck there due to immigration taking too long. They didn't change his visa from CR1 to IR1, have to go to immigration here to fix it.

3-12-09 - Arrived in Portland!!

5-29-2010 - Zane was born ** Absolute best day of my life!

6-7-2010 - Ahmed went back to Egypt

8-23-11 - Filed for divorce

1-12-12 - Divorce final

I would guess that she was reading the last action on your case and just said "you" instead of "your agent".

NVC got our case from VSC in 5 days. :) You can start calling around that time to get your NVC case number, using your USCIS receipt number

Thanks! I called NVC again today to clarify. They said that everything "visa related" goes to the agent you have chosen. All Affidavit of Support stuff goes to the petitioner. So I guess I will be getting that any day now. I called our attorney and he was a little aggravated with me...maybe thinking I am trying to do his job for him, but I am just trying to stay on top of things so I have a little idea of what is going on. He said if I keep calling NVC that might delay our case. Is that true??? If so, why are the phone lines at NVC busy almost every time I call? Anyway...I guess I will just wait for that AOS package then. :crying: waiting sucks big time.

I emailed Amman to change Y's address, but mostly to finally get an email back from them that says "yes we received the case." :D
