If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Yay Lisa!! Congrats!!

And Moh is right...everyone here is definitely very supportive, kind, caring, knowledgable, and great to talk to! It really helps to have someone there that knows what you are going through and can give you tips & advice...Lord only knows USCIS doesn't do that! Props to all of you for sticking it out for the one you love. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday and this week brings us all great news!!!

Take care,

Amanda

Hey Lisa....don't know if this is a sign or if it is all this hoping & praying now crossing over into my dreams, but I had a dream last night I was at the embassy in Amman....I was walking up to this counter to fill out a bunch of paperwork that I needed to finish up to get my SO, Raad, to the US. As I was walking up to the counter, I saw your SO Yazied (only know what he looks like from looking at your pics..lol), he was on one side of this "barrier-type thingy" and I turn around and I see you, Lisa headed the same way I am going. You weren't able to get to him because of the barrier thing but somehow (dream logic I guess) I knew that you were both doing the last step and you would be together that day. I was going to be done that day too....so who knows. I hope maybe that means good knews for us both. At least you are out of AP now. I guess this whole thing is engulfing my life and its only logical that I dream about it too, but this is the first dream I have had about it since we began the process.

I e-mailed the embassy in Amman about how long it takes to get an interview after you are out of NVC. They e-mailed me back and I didn't realize that if you are doing the K-3 visa, the embassy schedules your appointment, but if you are doing the CR1 NVC schedules your appointment. So then I am guessing NVC will set up our appointment since we aren't doing K-3. I am wondering how that will affect when things are scheduled. Anyone have any enlighting experiences or knowledge about this? Our attorney in Amman was sending the I-864 package back to NVC this past weekend. Inshallah they get it soon and we will soon be done with NVC!! :)

Happy Monday everyone, btw. Hope everyone has a wonderful week...well at least as wonderful as it can be without our SOs!

Amanda

Amanda Poor thing dreaming of immi stuff...but hey, im glad i was there

I hope your dream is telling of good things to come :D

I think Amman was being scheduled about 60-65 days out for cr1's? I might be wrong but that's what is sticking in my head.

Well, we actually were one of those "random" ones, since it was at NVC not post interview. (and I think we were the only muslim SO, couple on the NVC AP thread)

It does seem that it's like rolling the dice though. Some people skate, others crawl. (F)
