...and I'll wave back at you!

I'm not just accepting this latest delay of his. I have hope that AP will finish someday, he will get a visa and come home. He's losing hope, grasping at straws and the uncertainty of our future is making him crazier than me.

Holy Cow Jackie!! (F) I hope and pray you won't have to worry about the work obligation cause he'll get out of AP before that. hope hope hope

Gonna need some room on the couch and a cookie or two. Called DOS today and Ann, who was very sweet, said Cairo is still working on our freakin visa! I sware when they give a time line for anything their intention is to pass it by.:ranting: What happened to that "right to life" or what ever it's called?! Their sense of entitlement to screw with our lives is really chapping my hyde!

I guess I will be planning a trip for July. Wow, it's gonna be hotter than blazes in Jordan in July. Habibi better get me a place with a/c.

Jackie it was hot in October when I went, so I can't imagine how hot it will be in July! And as a side note, I am a travel agent on the side, so if you need help finding a cheap ticket just let me know. I can call the airlines directly and hopefully get you a cheaper rate! Take care!

Thx Amanda! I'd be flying Royal Jordanian non-stop from Chicago to Amman.

Celebration bells Olivia? :P Oh I hope so! Fingers and toes crossed!

No problem Jackie. Do you have any idea of the dates you would want to fly? If you let me know, then I will check into it for you. :) Have a great Friday!

After July 14th ...for one week. (ya know...I sure hope I don't have to use this plan, but having SOMETHING to look forward to has given me a sliver of hope!)

Great...I'll look into it and let you know what I find out. I hope that something better works out for you and my prayers are with you that you will be out of AP very soon!!

AP wants to fight me

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Amanda- just saw your note on the whole travel agent on the side thing... what you got for March 7??? That is when he deicded he's gonna book for- so we're looking at ticket prices... I know they change rapidly after the first of March,.. summer's on its way! I have looked online myself, and he's looking there, its soooo frustrating not knowing exactly when he'll have his visa and passport- the consular said "less than two weeks"... so we're going a few days past just for security measures!--IF ya have any advice-I'd love it!=---Amy

You are right about the travel after September...I went in October of 2008 and I was intitally going to go in July/August, but I had more vacation time saved in October and I didn't want to go during Ramadan in Sept, but I will definitely check out all options.
