olivia,

I didnt mean to leave you out of the ranting...but, I know who to rant at exactly. The military, right? I dont think I should yell at them  lol

We could just ask time to go faster for ya. :P

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Quick question...does everyone have to go through AP or is that a random process? Just curious...our attorney sent in the AOS fee bill this weekend...so we'll see how fast the next part goes.....wait wait wait...again...

ummm-well, as far as I know its all random. If there is something that gives a red flag to the NVC, or the embassy abroad, like an arrest, or somoene with a name close enough that was or is in political trouble...etc. Its hard to tell if you'll get it or not. Good luck Our prayers are with ya!-Amy

Cool....I hope that is the case...everything has gone really smoothly for us so far...the attorney has had everything ready and correct (he just decides to give us the least info possible). Our attorney is in Amman and I think he is pretty busy and that is maybe why he always speaks really quickly to my husband and gives him as little info as possible. So I am guessing then after NVC receives the AOS fee & the DS-3032 they will send the IV bill & another packet of info to me? I am looking at the flowchart trying to get an idea of how this works. Did that part go fast for you? And after it left NVC, the embassy contacted your SO for the interview? I'd love to know how yours went to get an idea. I'm so new to all this stuff and it is pretty confusing to me...on top of the wait. Thanks for your prayers! I need them!

I've been trying to call NVC all day too see if they got our AOS & DS3032 and it has been busy...all day. I think everyone on VJ is calling...lol. I was just thinking about sending an e-mail. Has anyone ever done that? Are they quick to respond?

I emailed a few times..not quick to respond. And the last one I sent, I asked some questions about AP, I got back:

"you case has been received and the case number created" THANKS GUY!!! I put my case number in the subject line, ya think I didnt know that?

my point is they didnt answer my question at all.

I usually MUCH prefer email, but in the case of NVC..calling is way better
