Hey everybody...hope you had a good weekend, well, at least as good as you possibly can if you are without your SO. Quick question...about how long does it usually take NVC to send your packet out after they have assigned a case number? And do I get a packet AND my husband (beneficiary) get a packet as well? I was looking at the NVC process flowchart for the CR1 visa and that's what it looks like. If so, do they send out the packets simultaneously? Ok...I'll shut up now...sorry for the 20 questions on Monday morning!!!

Hope you all have a great week & thanks for any input.

Amanda

Amanda, we got our first correspondence (AOS fee bill)about the cr1 in about a week and a half after the NOA2. It depends on how fast you get through NVC for how quickly your husband will get the "packet 3". Where are you guys now in the nvc process?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

I called NVC this morning & they said they were mailing the AOS fee bill out today. I am wondering how much that bill will be. So then I guess the next step will be waiting for the packet 3.

Thanks,

Amanda

Its 70 bucks, and then there are a few other steps to complete before it leaves NVC. check out the 130/NVC flowchart and you will have a good idea of what to expect. There are also "shortcuts" to expedite the NVC process, but you guys hav a lawyer right?

I think twice a week is acceptable. They can make jokes amongst eachother.."hey, who gets to talk to Tina today?"

:P

So my call yesterday...still processing. The operator also said the ....'it's only been since Dec 1st..' line to me. Then I asked a few questions, I said, 'is this step being done over there or here?' and the operator said "We cant see that anymore, we used to but not now.' She said ,,'It's too early, this can take a longgggg time."

This is K3!!!! Is there anyone I should be contacting to move this along? I either have to take a step forward or a few steps back, this doing nothing is killing me.

this sucks Jackie!

you know, everyone we have talked to there that has been in AP for any length of time is CR/IR1. Everyone says the K visas are like giveaways basically. no AP, nothing..

so you are around 2 months now? what did they originally say..4-6 months? ugh!

I dont know what you can do hun. but, since they couldnt tell you if it was here or there, maybe you can write your representative and have them inquire. At least you would know ??
