:wow: there arnt to many guys in here are there? how alone am i?

Yeah, I noticed not a lot of men on VJ, mostly the women. I think that's because women are more apt to look for emotional support than men are. I'd invite my hubby to come on here, but he'd just piss everyone off.

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

What did they say when he called?

Well, Ahmed doesn't want me to tell anyone cause he has conspiracy theories, but we're two weeks out of AP, after 8 months. The woman he talked to on Thursday told him to call today and she may have something new, but the guy he talked to today had nothing new for him. But he did say it should only be 2-4 weeks. Just hope they don't keep starting the count over.

BTW, the new pics are adorable!!!

Jackie, it will be over for you soon. I totally feel your pain (F) Only have sugar free oreos. Not worth writing home about.

Thanks Lisa!! We got a reply email two weeks ago saying we completed AP and are in final review. Only problem is, they've told us that before, last summer! I have trust issues where the Cairo Embassy is concerned. But, according to those we've spoken with in the last two weeks, we're just waiting for them to send him the visa. We're cautiously hopeful.

Hey everybody...hope you had a good weekend, well, at least as good as you possibly can if you are without your SO. Quick question...about how long does it usually take NVC to send your packet out after they have assigned a case number? And do I get a packet AND my husband (beneficiary) get a packet as well? I was looking at the NVC process flowchart for the CR1 visa and that's what it looks like. If so, do they send out the packets simultaneously? Ok...I'll shut up now...sorry for the 20 questions on Monday morning!!!

Hope you all have a great week & thanks for any input.

Amanda
