:D Far 2 Long for 2 years waiting. By the time I see him it will be 2.5 years and we're betting it will be 3 years before this whole thing smooths over. bleh. shoot me now pls.

Never...!!! Ur a beautiful soul and strong person! I'm thinking I need to come w/ you when you leave and start on that documentary!! We could do it together....babies could spend time w/ the family in Egypt....that might be an awesome adventure! :D Plus, I have tons of contacts in Egypt too....

Hmmm...I don't know if I should do it for sure. It's really risky and you're momma to two beautiful babies! I'd hate to indirectly take you away from them for anything.

It is very risky. But what an amazing adventure and eye opening documentary if successful! Either way, I have contacts I can call and email if you decide. One of them is a Palestinian producer (he's a record producer) however, very very successful in the states and middle east...if he knew, I'm sure he'd do anything to assist. As well as my friend Dani works with the producer of Yakubains Building, I'm sure if we hit them up for help/contacts...they'd jump at the chance. Even if its just for help w/ sound equipment or maybe even people they know in Palestine, etc.

Oh Thx! I'll keep that in mind. I still have yet to watch the YB movie cos I need a copy with subtitles but I've heard lots of good things about it.

It's awesome! And he's a cool ole dude! :P He has a new book out too...Dani's getting me a signed copy. I'm stoked!

That sounds good. Hey have you heard of this documentary on gaza called Gaza Strip? http://www.littleredbutton.com/gaza/

Or this one?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0412631/

I'm heading over to your Gaza thread so that the peeps on the "couch" here don't kick us off....hehe. I only stole one of Jackies cookies! :P

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Lisa - sorry to read you haven't seen your hubby in more than a year - ouch thats way too long. Hope the AP at NVC moves swiftly for you soon. :) It looks like a large amount of approvals recently are moving to NVC after the NOA2 are getting held up for AP, is this a new thing? Maybe its best to do it there than after the interview??? Anywho, all the best to those who are waiting (F)

JJ - miss your with & posts. I'm sure 2 months feels like an eternity with no end but its coming gurl - hold on!

Hi Ladies of the MENA couch-sorry to encroach...I'm new so I don't want to be rude! I hope all is well as it can be. Just wondering if any of you know of any timelines from NOA2 to getting the visa. We just got our NOA2 in the mail yesterday and I have heard 1-3 months as the normal processing times (as long as it doesn't go into AP). Any input?

Thanks!

Amanda
