Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Read the past couple of posts in regards to AP at NVC and in the spouses country. Seems like a game of hurry up and wait when moving from point A to point B and in this journey there are NUMEROUS points to move through. We waited so long for the NOA2 out of VSC and received a RFE instead. @#%$!&*!!!!!

Sorry everyone, generally I'm more pleasant than this but I'm sooooooooo not impressed with this branch of government right now. This process sucks :angry::angry:

as of Monday 01/26/09: I130 - 223 days, I129F 163 days

Wishing you all luck :star:

We waited 8+ months at NVC, only to be told that we are in AP. I dont think its common to be placed in AP at NVC, so far there are only 2 k3'ers here on VJ...the rest are K1's. ?????

Usually AP comes after the interview, some are short and some are heartbreakingly long.

I hope you get an approval VERY soon and you speed through the rest of this grueling process.

I keep telling myself that all of this is worth it in the end. Being together with my husband is something worth waiting and fighting for. :)

Good luck (F)

Lisa

Have a seat next to me Jackie. I'm having issues getting a co-sponsor. Three people have turned me down and one of them my Mom. I can't move the I-130 ahead without that paperwork and switch to the IR-1. Bleh.

It is always something, isn't it?

My husband is not sure he wants to come back. So my week has been full of emotions and grief. This AP is sucking ballz. He's losing hope and I'm not strong enough to carry us both.

Olivia, wanna cookie?

stay strong for both, this immigration is a killer on both, it seems so unfair most of the time

Lisa, I think Moe and Tiff (jade on VJ) went through the same thing. AP at NVC on a K3.
