We are in AP at NVC... ?!?!?

they sent 4 letters saying it would be forwarded within a week, no apparently not so much..its actually in AP.

One more thing i need to go research grrrrr

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear about it. I have heard that they can do AP at the NVC, but don't know of it personally. Do you know what the AP is about?

ya, i have read they do ap there "randomly" ?? I have no idea why or for what. Im assuming more name checks. I remember reading that more background checks are done at NVC a long time ago.

Hopefully his uncommon name will help us :unsure:

AP before an interview even happens? geez what will they think of next?

........day 52 of AP and wilting fast

Ya, we were thinking that with a k3,(short pit stop and all) would be safe there.

we were trying to avoid long ap by going the 'safer" k3 route. ha ha ha

today, I said, maybe we wont get thrown into ap for a cr1 since we are in ap at nvc (was just thinking out loud)..he said, NO!, "i dont wanna wait anymore!" hee hee thats how i feel too habibi.

so, we wait some more. 8 months at vsc, possibly 1-2 more at NVC, then 2 more for an interview...

someone tell me there IS an end.

its amazing that this little bit of news stole my joy of being out of VSC! ok, just had to whine for a minute. im back :blush:

I know a couple from the K-1 forum who were held up at the NVC for a few weeks before it was forwarded to the consulate. And they were petitioning in London, not a MENA country..So it must be random..... :unsure:

2009-07-11 AOS packet mailed (and supposedly delivered the same day)

2009-07-15 NOA1 for I-485, I-131, I-765 (USCIS rec'd date is 07-12)

2009-08-05 Case transferred to CSC

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-25 - received Biometrics appointment letter!

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

morocco4ever ....hello. i have a question that my fiance has asked me and i was hoping you had an answer............or anyone else out there in VJ land.....................

i filed a K-1 and it is taking some time. if it is not approved can i go there and marry her? if so what do i need to do? also what would i file when i get back to the states? will the k-1 have an effect on what the new filing will be. my engage ment is arranged so i need to do all i can to make this work. its sort of not an option you see?

please can you just give me some info. anyone???

Comments : My application was touched atleast 12 times before getting to NVC

01/04/09: Went to senators office to speak to them about an inquiry into my case.

01/06.09: Senators office send letter of inquiry to UNCIS CSC.

02/18/09: Called USCIS asked for service request

02/21/09: Recieved letter from USCIS that im in security checks :( and to call beck in 6 nonths..... WOW

02/25/09: APPPRROOVVVVAAALLLL NOA2 Alhumduallah

03/05/09: NVC receives papers

03/06/09: NVC send papers to counsulate

03/12/09: Counsulate have papers

03/27/09: Packet 3

04/02/09: Doctors (everything is a-okay0

04/28/09: Interview

04/28/09: AP ( need nothing further will call when able to proceed

05/04/09: Counsulate call and tell her to come 05/06/09 to counsulate for appointment? Told to bring passport......Is this the day???

05/06/09: Second interview (everything went well) Counsulate keep passport

05/07/09: Call from counsulate to pick up visa tomorrow

05/08/09: VIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAA IN HAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

ALLLLLLLLHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMDDDDDDDDDDDDDUUUAAALLLAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!

it looks like you are just stalled in the system, let it work thru and do the interview (IF) for some reason it is denied you can return marry and file cr1. I just did this myself but you got to let this first one continue on and see the out come. To marry and refile and all that will take another year, i married Nov 07 his interview was last week and he did get the visa this time but look at the time it took. Hope good new on the original k1 filing for you soon

Read the past couple of posts in regards to AP at NVC and in the spouses country. :angry: Seems like a game of hurry up and wait when moving from point A to point B and in this journey there are NUMEROUS points to move through. We waited so long for the NOA2 out of VSC and received a RFE instead. @#%$!&*!!!!!

Sorry everyone, generally I'm more pleasant than this but I'm sooooooooo not impressed with this branch of government right now. This process sucks :angry::angry::angry:
