Good luck with the job thing.

I'm totally glad I still have a job. I have seriously considered a second job to make ends meet.

Yeah I am pretty happy I got my full time and not complaining one bit.. I just wanted a second job so I could afford things I want like a bread machine..been thinkin about some homemade bread and jam for a min. now..Thats what I planned to use as a beggin plea..I need a bread machine so hire me back. Dont know if that would have gave me bonus points to offer bread and jam though..Might go ahead and give that a shot.

I used to have a bread machine until I got my Kitchen Aid (it has a dough hook that kneads the dough). I started using that and got rid of my bread machine. Mmmmm....fresh baked bread. I haven't had that in a long time. :-(

 yes Yes Yes.............. i need a second job also. so i can buy some of those wants in life. :wow: i just had a thought. I know of a easy job where i can sit around all day and do nothing and get paid for it. It always seems like they need extra help........

A USCIS OFFICER

Does anyone have an appt???

I MEANT AN APPLICATION???

I have some questions..on the affidavit of support, does that only last til the person has a greencard or is it forever. I dont use welfare myself and I understand sometimes ppl need it, and if i ever need it by gosh i will use it. I paid my fare share of taxes. And would the joint sponor be sued first or would the the primary sponsor be sued first? I guess it would be a joint sued huh? I so happen didnt make enough casue i was off 3 months in Egypt with my husband. I got a good chunk of money in my account to back it but if i need a joint sponsor for some reason I would like to have one handy. I read on the gov website it is forever. That it don't expire. Then i read that it does when they work so many quarters. And another question How long will it be til he can go to work? Is that something we file as soon as he gets here? Thanks in advance. Even if someone has information I can read on it that would be great.

It's broken down into years or quarters work by the beneficiary. Im not sure how many or anything, but i know it isnt forever.

that was useful huh? lol

There is probably a thread already on vj that covers it in details and there are some members that know this inside and out..diamonmermaid? (slaughtered that name, I know)

10 years. 10 years even if you divorce.

What does that mean? That you are financially responsible for them for ten years, even if you divorce? Does that mean you owe them alimony? :-O

Not sure the extent of it --but I have heard of gc holders going after the terms of the affidavit from his beneficiary.

In my case, the way it affected me: I filed for my ex in 2002. When I filed in 2008 for Ibrahim, I had to include the evil ex on the affidavit as a previous filing and had to make enough to support us all.

That blows jackie

My understanding is that the "biggie" is if they ever try to file for goverment benefits. Then "they" can sue you for reimbursment
