I heard once that someone was told while in AP "you have to wait somwhere" Their case was also approved rather fast by USCIS.

I hope that means that we dont have any AP, 8 months is enough right? heh

Jackie,

Is there anyone else that went through Amman with any comments on how long theirs took on a k3? It's been a month now right?

I miss WOM's "major mena mojo for the interview" threads. we should have had one for you guys Jackie

:sending major mojo at amman to hurry Ibrahim's AP:

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Everything happens for a reason, I've learned not to try to hurry things along in life. He'll be here when he's supposed to, until then, I will exercise patientce. I'm not sure about an average AP, the paper he got said 2-4 months, the lady on the phone today told me 4 month to 2 years :| ok..... hop back up on da couch :)

rajaa do you have unlimited texts on your phone?

you are totally right jackie. It's hard to have patience when its something you want so badly though. 4 months to 2 years?! wow

well, i got the generic letter from nvc today saying they will be forwarding our k3 to Amman "within the week".

yaayy..bring on the interview!

i have 3 folders full of proof and a photo album. I guess I will send it to him as soon as my boss writes a new salary letter this week.

They better be impressed by this packet he will have full of proofs in manila folders, acco fastners and all ha!

The man that interviewed Ibrahim read thru a few of our emails. I sent them all, unedited. I figure if ya want to read communication between husband and wife, well here ya go.

oh my! lol

I am just sending the screenprints showing daily emails from both of us. I think we'll print out one for each month or week maybe?

Mohammed,

I think we can all relate to this.

My husband and I have both had our times where we just thought we could cry for days on end.

I don't have anything magical to say to make it easier, only that you do have people here that can relate to the ups and downs of this process.

The average joe just doesnt get it. I have friends and family, they asked about when my husband was coming, they sympathized the best they could..but really? no one "gets it" other than people who have walked down that path or are currently on it.

Whine all you want, cry whatever you need..you will find support here. (F)

It looks like you will hear something soon from the senator office hopefully. We got an answer not long after they sent the letter to VSC.

The only consolation that we had through this waiting was that we had plenty of time to gain more intimacy, and confidence in our ability to get through anything together. I love my husband more eveyday, and I will never take him for granted and vise versa.

Amen to that Lisa. Mohammed I feel the same as you too. I know I haven't been waiting near as long as many people here, but I still feel your pain. Everyday I am away from my husband makes me feel severely depressed and I have sat at my desk at work many many times just crying while I am attempting to work. I try to stay focus, positive and believe that VSC will get their act together soon and start getting people approved, but it gets the best of me. Having to rely on wires, internet and webcams to see your husband is just not the same...and like you I am crying know just thinking about it. But we just have to pray and be strong & encourage one another...I see posts for people getting approved almost everyday, so I know our time is coming soon. I just have to keep telling myself that so I can make it through the day.

And Lisa you are right, average people don't understand. They ask when my husband is coming and I can't tell them when, only that we are waiting and it could possibly, God forbid, take more than 8 months! And they sigh and say, oh that must be so hard. But then they go on their merry way and they don't have to think about it 24/7. So we all have to stick together...vent together...cry together...scream together...and rejoice together when our turn comes. Inshallah. Stay strong!

Amanda
