"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

We booked for March 1......then last night he had a meltdown and decided that was too soon. Cause you know, he didn't know this was coming for a year now.

I'm ok with it - sorta. What gets me is that he told me AFTER the non-refundable tickets were purchased (cause I'm going there to spend 2 weeks with his fam). Amazingly, it cost NOTHING for him to change this flights. My ticket however was forfeited cause the credit I used for it had to be completed by March. So I had to buy a new ticket.

So, I can travel somewhere with that credit this winter or early spring (before march)...but where the heck and I gonna go by myself

Amy told hubby my plan he pleaded with me not to go... I told him if something happens to me at least i'll be doing something good my last moments.. besides it's my nature to be in the thick of things not on the sidelines... he pleaded and pleaded. I told him he should get here soon cause I volunteered for Bosnia, Afgan, Panama, NY anytime there is a need i volunteer and go. He better get here to make sure i don't. pissy iam sure but what can i say??? :)

Rajaa- I hope he gets there soon! I know its hard to stand and wait and watch from the sidelines, and you are right if you were to die it would be doing something worth while... I don't think the world is ready to lose you yet-- esp your hubby! I know it is all in God's hands. I believe that in every sense, but you must be mindful of your choices... just a concerned friend with an opinion! Please take care and I pray you listen to your hubby--if NEVER again this time!

Besides if you leave, who will I sit on the couch with?!:-(

Well now you can't go till after April...! LOL!! Or else whos gonna be in charge of the Seattle meetup?! sounds like a very interesting time to be there, but I am afraid, I would be just that and not much help as a voulenteer! Besides, I have kiddos that need me here anyways!--My efforts are needed in a different area right now. Perhaps some day I will be able to decide to voulenteer more in various good causes- You are a strong son of a gunny! LOL-- Talk to you soon!---Amy
