It is way cool! I'm hoping this week flies by! He is calm and happy. I am pacing from room to room.

I cleaned the back porch. Emptied out all the kitchen cupboards, then put the stuff back in. :blink: Hung plastic on the windows, I know tacky, but its in the 20's here and my tootsies are freezin! :blush:

I just hope I don't make ya'll crazy with my 'last week' countdown. But the only one I have to share this anxiety with is La Princessa and my VJ friends.

Hi

I'm a December 2007 Filer! I have an I-130 and a K3 pending. We rec'd 1 RFE and it took me forever to respond because my hubby and I were vacationing in Malaysia when the request arrived. MORE DELAYS of course.

My days were filled by work, gym and my big Mexican family! We used to phone cards, skype, internet, but nothing was fulfilling. My hubby became impatient and so now I've relocated temp. to Manama. He works all week in Saudi and I'm alone all day with no job, no kids and (gasp) no gym!!! The big social thing here is the mall, which I have no problem with; I live across the street from a big mall, but on the couple of occasions i've walked there I've gotten cat calls, stares and even a car pulling over to ask me if I needed a ride. I dress very respectful, but don't cover my hair. Needless to say I don't walk there anymore.

Anyhow, I miss home and reading the threads keeps me busy and encourages me because I know I'm in the same situation as many of you.

Anyone out there in Bahrain?

i don't think I can get crazier :wacko: however I am organizing all the paperwork and poofs today to ship to habibi tomorrow insha'allah. I do have a question JJ tell me more about plastic on the window? my first floor appartment only has single pane and it's always seems to have a cool breeze in the winter.

I'm like you Jackie, I've starting to go on a cleaning rampage. I cleaned out the linen closet and what do you know...there's shelves in there! :whistle: Now I'm going through all my old scrapbooking stuff and getting rid of the majority of it. Oh and my hunny says today "oh my gosh the interview is soon!!" I can't tell if it really just hit him or if he's being a smart a##. I'm guessing the latter :innocent:

2009-08-12 no biometrics yet.......called on 30 day mark to report no biometrics, a service inquiry has been made on the case.....

2009-08-25 - received Biometrics appointment letter!

2009-08-27 I-131 (AP) approved

2009-09-15 Biometrics appointment

2009-09-15 EAD Card production ordered!

2009-09-23 EAD Card received

2009-10-06 GC approved/card production ordered

2009-10-13 GC received in the mail!

i did the plastic also in the windows that i leave the a/c in all the time. Go to the hardware and my kit was actually for the outside but i used inside, then i have a shade over but at least now i dont see the shade moving so much with the leaks of air of course u can still raise the shade if u want the sun in, prob now is i also have a patio door in this room and it does get cold

Clear plastic, like a heavier Saran Wrap. It comes with a roll of double-faced tape. First tape around the window, pull off the thingy on the tape, press the plastic on the sticky tape. Take a blow dryer and blow it for a few minutes and the plastic shrinks and gets taut. No more drafts in the winter. Downside, that window is blocked off now til Spring. The temperature difference was noticable immediately.

Gong to the airport tonight with Hani to pick up his wife from Jordan. She flies in at 6pm and he is jumping out of his skin excited! He gave me $100 yesterday to go make his townhouse 'pretty'. I had a blast. I dream of the day that it is my turn to go to the airport.

I just realized we have only a handful of chats before the interview. We will be online together Tue, Thur, maybe Friday and then Sunday before he goes to the interview OMG it's almost here.

Heehee...Jackie, your countdowns remind me of how I countdown before a big trip...like to Disney World or something. I would tell myself how many more paychecks, how many more work days, how many more sleeps until I get to see Mickey :D

But yeah, you're down to less than a week!!!!!!! :dance:

157 hours and this is how it breaks down...

32 of those hours will be working

50 of those hours will be sleeping

....that leaves 75 hours of fretting, pacing, and finishing my to-do list. Six sleeps til Mickey, errr I mean six sleeps til interview.

How about you schedule in more sleep time? Then that will take away from time left to fret and pace :D
