Its soooo hard, I try and try, and mess up everytime. the stress at work and with this immigration nightmare, I could not survive without my Marlboros. It is a ugly, nasty, life killing habit.

 you must have needed one lol

I quit once for 3 years. Im just not willing to quit now...im still enjoying it. If Im not willing, it wont work. but you know Stacey...after the first 1-2 weeks it gets WAY better. If you can get through those first weeks you'll be home free

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Thanks Everybody! Waleed was texting me today telling me that he saw his friend Adham, the singer from the band Wust el balad. He told me they are going to play in Las Vegas this November! I told him then he better get here and we will go see them!!!! I am so excited!!!

He said he also finished printing all the evidence and has over 175 pages from his folder of emails from me just showing subject titles. He has like 16000 emails from me total and that's not including text msgs and picture folders! He said he's also printing all the pictures from my trips there of us together and with the family and he's going to bring those to the interview as well. He is literally taking a bag of evidence with him to the Interview tomorrow morning.:thumbs: I hope he gets a nice interview and they take the time with him to look at all the evidence we prepared.

They won't look at all of it.

Here's my advice, based on experience. It's free so you can take it or leave it.

Three envelopes, the big, plastic document sized envelopes.

Envelope #1: All original documents (marriage papers, birth certificate, etc.).

Envelope #2: Copies of everything, including the original documents. When I say everything, I mean everything.

Envelope #3: Everything that isn't going into either of the other envelopes, including pictures, emails, etc. DO NOT make a picture book. The interview will be at a window and books won't fit under the glass for the interviewer to see. If they're loose, they'll fit underneath. It's better to have them organized, in smaller groups (wedding party, etc.) inside of the bigger envelope than either in a book or loose.

List, on the outside of each envelope, in marker, what's inside in exactly the order they are in. This will help him find what he needs easily. He's already going to be nervous (that's human nature) and if he's organized it will help with his jitters because he won't be fumbling and, even worse, feel like he's fumbling.

The IO will ask for what they want to see. He won't know what they're going to ask for so he's better off taking everything instead of not having something they ask for. As I said in another thread, the IO asked for my divorce papers. The Embassy already has copies of that, but they asked for it again anyway. Dunno why (and still don't know why they kept it), but the important thing is they asked for it and he had it with him. That's why it's important to take everything because you just don't know.

Olivia, tell him not to take all of those emails and text messages. That's way too much. What he'd be better off doing is taking a good sampling from over the course of your years together, starting from day one. Not that I think they'll be too interested in that anyway. They only asked me for pictures of me with his family and they never asked him for any proof whatsoever, pictures or otherwise. But I'm here, in Egypt, and I had him take my passport with him to show that I'm still here, so that's a little different than your situation because you've already gone back. Does he have a copy of your passport showing your trips to Egypt? Your travel records (plane tickets, etc.)? Those would be more valuable than text messages.

Thanks for reminding me. I should scan my return tickets. I registered with the embassy that I was there with my Husband for the summer in Hurghada but of course they'll want to see ticket stubs or something.
