i do call nvc but just to hear the automati message , i just tried to call them and give my son's USCIS case number , and they said that they have not this case !

i'd loveeee to talk to someone from NVC but i cant with my english , i dont talk english very well !!

if you can write exactly what i'll tell them on phone , ill do that straight aways after your answer !! and then i'll make my husband surprised when ill tell him that i called the nvc lol

thank uuuu

Ok. You can use the option to speak to an operator.

then say: Im calling to see if my son's petition has been received please.

they will ask for the receipt number, your sons name and date of birth and I think the petitioner's date of birth...tell them this information.

After they check in their system with the receipt number...you will know if it is there or not.

If they do say it is there....ask for the NVC receipt number.. "may I have the new case number please?"

I hope you find that it is there and ready to go with yours :)

i hope too :) , ill call them later or tomorrow , house is full and i need concentration lol

i also wanna ask if i get the interview after he's approved but still in NVC , can he get a visa in the same time as me ? but i think consulate will answer this question no ? if not please tell me how can i do it !

i really appreciate ur answers !!!

No problem :)

I think the consulate can answer that question. Most consulates have email addresses for questions. You could always just shoot them an email and ask. Amman was wonderful with my questions that I emailed to them a million times lol

Let us know what you find out when you call

well i just called now , and a very nice woman talked to me , she said they havent received his case yet !! (damn it ) so i didnt ask her is he can get a visa after his petition is approved , i'll wait untill his approved than i'll the consulate !!!

thank you so much darling :)

your welcome hun. Im sorry its not approved yet, try not to worry and keep us posted on your progress. I hope you are all united soon!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

7 more days...I'm getting nervous. I've been quizzing him and although he knows the answers, he doesn't say them right! It's so frustrating! Now he asked me to write all the answers to the questions, ok...

Kenza,

first of all...lol I just imagined you grilling him and he finally says..oh just write them down lol

Listen, if you write the answers down and he "memorizes" them, it might sound really fake at the interview. Thats my 2 cents :) Let him keep practicing and as long as he knows the answers and is honest...he'll be ok God Willing.

Hi Ladies..please pray for Raad's family. His brother just called and said that his grandmother passed away. They will be burrying her in a few hours. It is so sad because she was so wonderful. I remember the last time I saw her...she was crying her eyes out because I was leaving. It hurts so bad to know that I won't get to see her again. :crying:

(L)(F) My husband's grandmother died a week after our wedding. At least she was able to attend the wedding even if she was practically in a coma-the wedding was at her house.

I pray that your family is at ease and that his grandmother died peacefully knowing that she raised a wonderful family and she will be greatly missed.

Those new pics Amanda are precious! Welcome kitten to the new family!

Amanda I am sorry for you and your family's loss. (F)

All summer I tried to get Waleed to practice interview questions with me but he was always too tired, or would put it off saying after breakfast, or would say I don't need to practice I know everything about you. Then I'd challenge him saying oh really well then lets practice it should be a piece of cake and he'd put me off. Now it's a week before the interview and he's asking me to look up what kind on VJ of questions he's going to be asked. I just want to cuss and scream a storm up now! It's not important when I am there but now when it's my Mom's days off and she hogs the computer and I'm about to travel back to school and have no internet access he's asking for these! At the worst possible time! Aaaah!!!

Kenza what kind of questions are you guys practicing?

You can scratch that last question if you want Kenza. I just went through Cairo Interview Stories and copied and pasted them to him. Hope that helps him.

Frustrating isn't it! Do you mind sending me that link too? :)

I just forum searched Cairo Interviews and copy and pasted stories for him. You may try it for the embassy your hubby is going through as I'm not sure if the procedures are the same.

I talked to my best friend about it today and she said men are just like that. So I asked it's universal they wait till the last minute? She said yep. Then we had a good laugh.
