Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Good Luck...my husband had his interview in Amman on June 15th..it wasn't bad at all. :)

Thank you for that! I have been very nervous. I am so anxious and ready for this interview. I keep wondering if we are forgetting anything that they might want.

I went onto the Embassy website and noticed that they want my passport pictures and a copy of my passport to be sent to the interview. I am so glad that I decided to look on the website...because those things were not included in the on the NVC checklist. I know we had sent those items with out original petition, but I guess they need recents?

Jackie - your really lucky to have a patient man that will take the time to explain to you about Islam. I'm Christian and Hassen isn't exactly the most sharing when it comes to his religion. Even when I ask (becasue we share a household & a life ), he states, "I dont know the English translation." :bonk:

So I'm left to attend presentations/discussions and/or read about it on my own...then he'll ask me "now do you understand why I pray 5 times a day?!" In truth - no i dont, yet I should know the answers to all of his questions on Jesus Christ & Christianity as well as some Judaism.

p.s. date night sounds like a lot of fun!

Brought some goodies for mah fellow couch waitin friends

Hope ya'll have a great week.

On Saturday I had a one hour date with Ibrahim. It was great! He is awesome and so patient with me and my never-ending questions about Islam. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode when Bart keeps asking quesitons of his Sunday School teacher...lol.
