Hope ya'll have a great week.

On Saturday I had a one hour date with Ibrahim. It was great! He is awesome and so patient with me and my never-ending questions about Islam. Reminds me of a Simpsons episode when Bart keeps asking quesitons of his Sunday School teacher...lol.

Morning MENA gang!!!!! Have a fantastic week!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jackie, how did you know I wanted donuts? LOL Yummy!!!!!

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Morning guys.

Thats cool Jackie!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

*waves good morning to lisa & beth

....one thing about waiting...at times, it seems like it is going by fast...then BAM it feels like an eternity. I have so many countdown lists and calendars that i 'X' out the days as they go by. Seriously I think I am OCD over the days. My desk blotter looks like im a convict in prison crossing off the days. :P

Morning everyone. Thanks for the donuts Jackie...I'll bring the coffee. To be honest, I wish I had more then just donuts...I want to totally junk out. I think it's the only thing that will make me feel better with my icky mood.

I know it's not right that I act this way, cuz it's only been a little over a week since they approved my petition, but WTH? Is the national visa center ever gonna get my case? Also, it's bad enough that I'm whiney, but my man is being whiney too! I only have tolerance right now for one of us to be snotty/whiney right now. I know...I'm just being impatient and restless, guess I just needed to vent.

Can I just be a brat today? You girls won't kick me off the waiting couch, will ya?

Vent as much as you want. I know I came here and vented a lot!!! Just know you are almost there...inshallah NVC will have your case soon and you will speed right through! Don't loose hope.

Sharifah,

that's why we're here hun! Vent all you want. You have full permission to have a whiny, bratty crappy day when you want to ;) I had plenty during our long wait lol

This will pass, thats the thing about the process and the distance...your mood may change from one day to the next.

What Jackie said was so right about some days flying by and others feel like forever.

Paris, where did you get married? If you follow K3, you have to process at the Consulate that serves the country you were married in. If it's where your husband is now, then no problem. For CR1, he will have to process in his country of nationality. None of this may affect you, but it did us, and that's why we went with the K3.

That is incorrect. As a Mexican citizen, I was able to process in Canada, where we lived at the time and where we were married.

True.

You can ask for a case to be transferred and if the consulate will accept, you can interview virtually anywhere for a CR1.

Jackie,

how did you know that I have been craving real shrimp cocktail for weeks now?! :P

childress we married via proxy in Houston, Texas. We are taking K3 to miss the delay at NVC, his french residency card expries Nov. 6th and I dont want him returning to Algeria for the interview. If there was not a time issue, maybe we would of gone for the CR-1. So since we married in Texas we are okay with K3 right??? I think so??? HUM?????
