Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we FINALLY have an interview date for September 10th in Montreal!:dance::dance: Praying for no AP. I have not seen anyone out of Montreal in AP yet, but none of them have been from the middle east. So we will see...

Just for the sake of VJ's search engine: I called the Cairo embassy, they said that Consular Officer's final review means that administrative processing is over, and that it is the last stage before the visa is issued, and that it should be a short period of time. :)

Hi Ladies....phone interview for the job yesterday was a bust. They asked me if I could be available to work 364 days a year (only day they are closed is Christmas) from 9-7. Really? I said, well I have a 3 year old and weekends & holidays are the only times I can spend with my family. She said...oh ok...well you have to be willing to work any of these times so, you can check back with us and see if we offer any part time work. Thank you. Ugh...whatever. At least it's almost Friday!

Sharifah and Beth congrats on getting to the NVC it took us 6 months to get there back in the day so I feel for you.

Amy does that mean a visa is coming for you guys?

Amanda sorry about the phone interview but they are unreasonable really. I am certain there is the perfect job for you out there just waiting.

I got a text message today that Waleed sent in packet 3 finally with a self addressed return envelope to make sure they send the interview letter to his clinic in Hurghada. So we're waiting any day now. It's only been just over 2 and half years that we've been waiting since we applied so each little wait seems like no biggie now really. I tell myself the 3rd year is the charm. This will be the year for us! Cross my fingers and hope to die. ;)
