Sounds wonderful Amanda! Waleed is getting tonight off and starting his break of 4-5 days and somewhere in there heading to Cairo to get his medical check so we can turn in packet 3.

How long from turning in the packet to scheduling the interview if all the paperwork is accepted?

I think we got the letter back in under a week, and then the interview was scheduled for about a month out. Maybe a little more than a month.

Thanks for the info Amy! I was looking at the averages here on VJ for the days from packet turned in to interview scheduled thinking the numbers were skewed because it said it was around 67 days. Maybe that's including those that got RFE or had something wrong with their packets?

Hey ladies!

Glad to hear from you Amanda. :D Also glad you are having a wonderful time.

Olivia, Im glad things are moving along..good luck on the med exam and getting a speedy interview date!

Ladies that are still waiting, please do whine or rain on anything you want, anytime you want! Thats what we're here for... to support and listen :) I had plenty of pity party moments while i was waiting and had a wonderful support group. everyone should have that.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Jackie the wait will be worth it and it will go by faster than you think.

Waleed had his medical check today and said he feels sick from the vaccinations so I think he may be staying another night in Cairo and get his pampering from his Mom.
