thats right, it is friday. So here's to hoping for Sunday. :)

Thats great Raad is going to watch your little girl. That will give them time to bond and get to know eachother.

On top of great bonding time for Y & J, its going to save me 400/month too!

Ahh nice!!! You know its crazy...like you pretty much work to pay for daycare! That sucks!

Ya, I really feel for moms who make hardly anything and have to pay what seems like half their salary to daycare (i guess 4C's helps though).

I just paid my last car payment this week too...I dont think I will know how to act having all of this extra money lol more shopping maybe? :P

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

My husband had his medical exam today. He said it was quick and easy. :-) Hoping for an interview date soon! We are following what's going on in Iran very closely as his family lives near Tehran.

I was thinking to post a thread about the Iranian elections but didn't know how wise that would be from inside Egypt. I am happy to see someone else mentioning it and was thinking of you actually when I've been watching the news coverage from over here. Please keep us updated how the family is doing.

Hey Lisa...doing well here. Glad it's Friday! I don't know how long it will take for Aramex to deliver the package to Irbid...they picked it up yesterday and since you know most everyone is closed on Friday there, I don't know if Aramex runs today...so maybe tomorrow or Sunday?? I am so excited. Hopefully he will be flying in next weekend! Oh & Lisa...Raad is going to be watching my little girl too until he finds a job to give my mom a break! :)

That is our plan, too, assuming Ahmed gets approved and receives his visa in a timely manner (both a little iffy coming from Cairo)... I'm a full time student, so he would actually be making us money if he took care of her while I was in school, since I wouldn't have to pay out for daycare. I have been trying to communicate with him how that can be just as important as bringing in money, since he won't be able to work here right away, but I'm not sure he really understands right now how expensive childcare is here. In Egypt nobody pays for childcare, the kids just get shuttled off to various family and they look after them for free... here, if I had one of my sisters watching my daughter regularly, I'd still have to shell out some cash

I definitley know what you mean Amy....thankfully I don't have to pay my mom, but she also keeps my niece (my sister lives with my parents right now)...so it is getting hard for her. And since I know my sister won't do anything releive the pressure I will have to do something. My husband really wants to use the time to bond with my daughter and start teaching her some Arabic. :) Hopefully we can be a trilingual family! :)

Thanks Flower. My family is OK so far, but very upset about the killing of protesters.

Oh Amy, it'll be okay. Wallahi, it's all in Gods hands. Just stay strong! I will say du3a for you two.
