I'm excited and anxious for you too Amanda!!! The interview must be the most nerve-racking and intimidating part of this process! I am leaving next week inchallah and I will post an up-to-date photo of my hubby and I as soon as I get one :)...love you MENA girls! :luv:

Did you miss me? Please say yes. im soooooooooo sooooooorrrryyy for my absence :unsure: I have been sooo busy with this thing called marriage. hahaha. I guess i need to tell you all how everything happen to explain myself.....right (((lisa)))? ok ok get some :pop: here we go.

she went from fez to casa on a train. it is like a 4 hour ride. she boarded the plane at 1030am morroc time and arrived at JFK at 230pm our time. i drove to philaddelphia from ohio the day before....... straight from the office to the freeway :D because my mother wanted to come too. then we drove to new york the next day. i waited outside the international arrivals with balloons " i love you and welcome home" i waited like an hour after the plane landed. i meet this man from egypt there. :clock::clock::clock: more time i wait. i decided to go out and check on my car......when i returned i saw my princess ohh :wow: i thought i was dreaming as i look at her dressed all in pink. i was soo excited i forgot to take pics :crying: oh and let me not forget my mother was crying too.

we went back to philadlephia so we could introduce her to the family. and right before we were set to leave a few days later.......my mother says can i come back to ohio with you all for a couple of weeks. How could i say no?? So now i have to women in my house :rolleyes: haha. mama is teaching her how to cook american foods and use the appliances here. and since my mama is a retired teacher she is tutoring her as well. Alhumduallah. they get along great and everyone is happy.

((Lisa)) hello my bestest friend. how is Y doing? it sounds like everything is bliss. bravo bravo. i miss you alot. you are a good friend

((jj)) congradulations on the progress!! not so long now inshallah. i can always tell when you are doing better, because you change your pic. haha. who else in on that new couch you posted. my wife wants a couch like this.

01/04/09: Went to senators office to speak to them about an inquiry into my case.

01/06.09: Senators office send letter of inquiry to UNCIS CSC.

02/18/09: Called USCIS asked for service request

02/21/09: Recieved letter from USCIS that im in security checks :( and to call beck in 6 nonths..... WOW

02/25/09: APPPRROOVVVVAAALLLL NOA2 Alhumduallah

03/05/09: NVC receives papers

03/06/09: NVC send papers to counsulate

03/12/09: Counsulate have papers

03/27/09: Packet 3

04/02/09: Doctors (everything is a-okay0

04/28/09: Interview

04/28/09: AP ( need nothing further will call when able to proceed

05/04/09: Counsulate call and tell her to come 05/06/09 to counsulate for appointment? Told to bring passport......Is this the day???

05/06/09: Second interview (everything went well) Counsulate keep passport

05/07/09: Call from counsulate to pick up visa tomorrow

05/08/09: VIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAA IN HAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

ALLLLLLLLHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMDDDDDDDDDDDDDUUUAAALLLAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!

Hey Moh...so good to hear from you!! Glad everything is going so well with your wife at home finally!! And I didn't leave you out of my post about marriage proposal...the actual title of my thread was how did your MENA SO propose....SO meaning that would include you! :) Take care & I hope you have a wonderful time with your wife.

Hey Jackie....yes....1 week to go. By this time next week it will be down to hours!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I am so excited!!!!!!! Oh, Jackie, could you tell Ibrahim to call my hubby Raad? Or if he can get online to chat with him in Yahoo??? He doesn't have much phone credit. :)

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Hey MENA! Hows it hangin?! Things for us are fast and furious... I have one question, and would love it if someone could pass an answer my way... Hubby is here of course, and we are contemplating a trip abroad... We were looking at his greencard... and we/they ommitted one of his names. Does anyone know if his green card has to match names identically with his passport? His visa in his passport is still good until August- I think, and we were just wondering because his Soc. Sec. Card matches, and I'm worried that since he already got his GC with an error, if we try to travel anywhere with a misprinted/wrong gc, we might have issues coming back into the states? Any imput on disa-one? Thanks for your help! much love-Amy
