Someone said I am one of the lucky ones, and maybe so far my husband and I HAVE been lucky....no RFE's, a personal call from the CO....BUT--I will feel lucky when my husband not only has his visa in hand, but when I pick him up at the airport. I've become really nervous all the sudden about these next few steps, and he's stressing me out with "how much time do you think the embassy will take to send back my passport?" LOL

I tell him that they must be ready to issue his visa or they would have waited longer before they called him to send it, and to please RELAX. The stress is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie--------did your husband decide when he's coming? I don't see any updates from you about that...

...stilll no visa in hand...they asked for his passport 2 weeks ago and now say still under review.

jJ (F)

OHHH that stinks.....I had a feeling I might be feeling prematurely excited when they called my husband for his passport. I was under the assumption that meant they were ready to issue the visa....did they give you any idea of how long it will be before they give it to him?

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
