Dec 22 2008 Transferred to California Service Center

I-130 Approved : 2009-01-12

NVC Received : 2009-1-16

Officially in AVR : 2009-1-17 emailed scanned DS 3032

DS 3032 generated and accepted via email/ AOS I-864 generated : 2009-1-23

Received I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26

Pay I-864 Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Pay IV Bill : 2009-1-26 status PAID 1-28

Send Completed I 864 and IV Package (overnight) : 2009-2-4 (had to wait for hubby's PC and original birth certificate to arrive)

Case Completed at NVC : 2009-2-11 !!!!

NVC Left : Received email March 3rd

Medical Completed : March 12, 2009

Interview Date : April 22, 2009. 8 am. VISA APPROVED!!!

Visa in Hand : April 27th, 2008!!! Arrival May 11th! POE JFK

Processing Estimates/Stats : Your I-130 was approved in 101 days from your NOA1 date. NVC completed in 26 days! Interview was 201 days from Noa 1.

So...I e-mailed the embassy to see if they received my case yet, per Zarqa's comment it may have been received by them on April 12th. They e-mailed me back this morning and said they hadn't received it yet. Per an operator at NVC yesterday, they don't send the case to the embassy until AFTER the interview is scheduled....wonder if there is still a glimmer of hope for a late May interview date???? :crying:

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

When is NVC scheduling the next batch, how long do you have to wait to hear something?

When is NVC scheduling the next batch, how long do you have to wait to hear something?

They give me the same pre-programmed line that they will be scheduling the second week in May and to call back around May 15th to see if we were able to get a date for June. But I have read postings on other threads saying they got their interview dates before the regular scheduling time so really its just the waiting game....sitting on the couch until I get an e-mail from NVC saying we have an interview. It's crazy though...we got an e-mail from NVC last night requesting the IV fee to be paid!!! I called them and was like, really? We already have case complete! She said oh just ignore that. Geez.....its been 2 weeks since we had case complete and you are sending me that e-mail...get it together!!

Got married : 6-3-06

I-130 delivered : 6-12-06 - Appt in Cairo

I-130 Approved : 4-18-08 - USCIS approval!!

Visa Interview Date : 6-22-08

Case sent to WADC: 8-6-08 - FBI check

Email From Embassy 1-09 - Still in AP (7 months)

19 DHL scans - 2-19-09

1-26-09 - Out of AP, now final review

2-26-09 - Visa in hand!

3-11-09 - POE JFK - Got stuck there due to immigration taking too long. They didn't change his visa from CR1 to IR1, have to go to immigration here to fix it.

3-12-09 - Arrived in Portland!!

5-29-2010 - Zane was born ** Absolute best day of my life!

6-7-2010 - Ahmed went back to Egypt

8-23-11 - Filed for divorce

1-12-12 - Divorce final

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

And Tina, I wish DH would have such gumption, I'm going to start shaving and cleaning from now so I won't have to worry if he pulls a similar stunt.

Anyway, we're already looking at having him come the first week of May. He just has to make arrangements for his car. I personally wish we could keep it...but if anyone in Jordan wants a mercedes with an overhauled engine that's older than me, we'll give you a good deal. Hehehe.

Good morning Lisa...I think everyone else is still sleeping! How are the plans going with Yazied coming over? Has he started packing yet? Raad told me that when he comes all he will bring are gifts for me and my family and a few of his clothes!
