Hey Lisa...I'm so happy you have the ticket booked...that is so amazing! When will he be headed this way?

I didn't e-mail the embassy. I'm really trying not to jinx myself. I'm not even sure how I should word it. Any ideas?

Thanks....Happy Monday everyone!

Amanda,

I would just write and say something like:

Can you please tell me if you have received our paper CR1 file yet? I believe it was received on 4/12/9. (if it was your package that Zarqa found on dhl).

Thank you for your time.

Keep it simple, no biggie :D

He's coming on May 7th!!!!!!

the next steps of the "journey" will be nothing since we'll finally be together :)

Hi Mena, just wanted to let you all know fiance arrived Saturday afternoon thru JFK and it went very smooth there and he also got the EAD stamp in his passport and wow his father paid for his ticket and even sent him here with $500 in his pocket. We were so happy to see each other again. Thanks to all Mena VJ members for all their posts that help us.

Charity&Mounssaif :dance::dance:

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Today is officially the 6th month waiting for my I130 NOA2. So when is it good to call them? Do I need to wait? Will it really do any good to call? What will they tell me? LOL.

Childress,

Call and follow the prompts that say "if you believe your case in out of the posted processing times"(paraphrasing)

When you get to a CSR, tell them that you want to do a service request to see why your case is out of processing times. Escalate the call if you need to. ;)

they should put in a service request and you will get a letter a couple weeks later giving you the status of your case.

Good Luck!

I just called the number for USCIS and none of the choices said for out of processing times. So I chose status check, but then I couldn't figure out how to enter my case number because of the three letters at the beginning (EAC)? So I put in the number without that and it said that was not a good number! But it never told me how to input letters! The dang computer finally hung up on me. How do I get through???

OK, NV, I used the numbers for the letters on the keypad and that worked. None of the choices said for out of processing times. I did the status check and it told me the same thing the website said and it said the case workers would not know anything other than what he told me. So how do I get to one of these case workers?

: ok calling to see what the options are:

1 for english of course

2 "problem with your case"

DO use EAC as "322" then the numbers following

3- report a problem with your case

3- if you believe your case is outside normal processing times

I guess I had to make sure I wasnt nuts, and I tell ppl to follow that prompt all the time.. now I know the number sequence :P

Good Luck

OK I'll use 3! :-) All I heard for 3 was to change your address. Hmmm...strange.

OK I used the #3 option and she was like, you want to change your address? LOL. I said no I want to check on my case. I'm guessing 3 is the only way to get to an operator anyway. She put in a service request for me, but I had to hear the lecture about how 6 months is not a promise, just an estimate. :-P And then she tells me not to call back for 45 days. Oh well, at least I did something. I'm thinking the service request reply is going to tell me that my petition is pending. :P
